Dr. Lisa Christine Grant, MD

I've been treated by this physician on a few occasions over the last few years. The primary reason was to get medication for epilepsy, which I've been diagnosed with for well over 15 years. The first time I received a prescription she told me she'd write one "with plenty of refills" since my epilepsy has been well documented, diagnosed and treated by several different doctors in all the different places I've lived. Go to the pharmacy, don't think anything of it, get the prescription. 2 refills. I guess that's her definition of plenty? I didn't think it'd be a big deal since she knew my situation and since pharmacies can just re-order from the doctor. No biggie, right? Wrong. Doctor declines my refill, says I need to make an appointment. I call the office, ask if I can get a partial supply until an appointment can be made. They say no, I have to see the doctor first. The pharmacy can no longer do anything since the doctor flat-out declined the refill request. Now I'm sitting here,… having withdrawals from my meds, waiting to see a doctor who's gonna bill me for an appointment that'll last as long as it takes for her to scribble her name on the prescription pad. I would highly recommend to any persons seeking thorough, professional and courteous treatment to look elsewhere unless you have absolutely no other options. On the plus side, it's pretty easy to make appointments. But in this day in age I'd expect that to be the lowest common denominator in terms of office standards.

Please don't waste your time

very quick and efficient. She didn't drag it out. Worked for me.

She treated me as though I was not even in the room. Then to top it off she laughed at me and made fun of me being unable to do her tasks asked of me. When a patient comes to someone in need and help they should be concerned and understanding not rude. I feel this doctor needs to back to school and learn how to work with the patient not against them, after all we are the ones paying the bill that she lives off of.

I sat down and had an very concerning conversation with Dr. Grant almost 2 months ago and let her know I was concerned since I had a prior neurologist who milked me for money and never provided any answers or referrals to someone who possibly could. Dr. Grant was not prepped when she walked in the room to see me... in fact I had to brief her on what little info she would have read on my file if she "had actually read my file". She guaranteed me she would take my situation into consideration and look into everything I told her. She also was going to follow up with me and schedule me an MRI. NONE OF WHICH HAPPENED. I had to call her office today to only find out she never did any of this. No follow up...no MRI scheduled. Dr. Grant has the bedside manner of an glacier. She is seeing people who live day by day not knowing what is happening to them... and she treats them like this. Also note...that her staff come across as the most miserable women I have ever seen in an office. I… literally stood in front of them while they carried on their own private conversations while nobody bothered to check me in. They were not friendly, in fact they were cold and made me feel as though I was bothering them. I was early. I waited and then... i was put in an empty room to wait another 45 min before Dr. Grant walked in.

Dr Grant has been very involved and interested in my prognosis and in making a disease tolerable and the least controlling. She is what we want our doctor to be for us. That is, dedicated to being helpful and healing to the patient in living a normal life.

I saw Dr. Grant for follow up after a TBI. My MRI results were available in 24 hours, but it took four phone calls and almost a week for her to contact me. She said everything was fine. A week later, my GYN told me more about the results than she did, and I followed up with another neurologist in Portland to handle my post concussion syndrome.

I went to Dr.Grant for my migraines and accomplished nothing. She basically told me the same thing my primary care doctor told me. I figured going to a specialist would give me some answers or a better understanding of my condition and some relief but I left feeling unimportant and the staff at her office were very cold and looked miserable.
