Dr. Lisa Gayle Houchin, MD

My son really enjoyed seeing this doctor for a little while when he did. She was always very friendly with him, always did well at checking his pump, numbers and areas of his site. She is a great doctor and I would recommend others seeing her.

Dr. Lisa Houchin has cared for our 12 year old son since he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 4. Her bedside manor has always been awesome and the way she cares for our son is unbelievable. She always takes time with him and asks many questions and makes a great effort to understand his needs.

My son is a patient of hers. She is just excellent. The whole office is kid friendly which i love. And when she comes in to see him its all about him not like the others where they come in say what they need to and get out. And she answers my silliest questions. I will never switch. :)

my daughter has been a patient of Dr.Houchins for 8 yrs. We travel 3 hrs. to see her. She has the best staff and is by far the greatest doctor to have. Her bedside manner is tops and she takes the time to answer all your questions and makes you feel you are important to her. She gets 5 gold stars in my book!!!

We recently switched to Dr. Houchin. My son really liked her and I thought she was wonderful. She was very caring, didn't rush us...treated us with kindness and respect and gave us a lot of positive feedback. I felt like she really understood my son as an individual and did not try to treat him like a mock of a text book. It is a very long drive for us to her office,but it's so worth it. My son has had diabetes for 12 years, so we are not new to this by any means. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone.
