Dr. Lisa Marie Karres, DO

Dr. Karres seems to be careless with her elder patients. She informed me that I had mini strokes with no follow-up to determine the origin of the strokes. Is this because I'm in my 80's and this is par for the course of aging. Is she abiding by her Hippocratic Oath? Also, I've wondered if the reception staff have been trained and cleared with HIPPA. They seem to be gate guards not allowing patients direct access to their provider. The nurse assigned to Dr. Karres needs continuing education regarding her role as a nurse and not a doctor. My age should not preclude me from additional care and prevention to mini strokes. I do not have medical school. At least I know, more than Dr. Karres, that I need to find out what caused my stokes and not be dismissed as an "aged" individual! Shame on the entire practice for HIPPA violations, inadequate medical care/concern, and lack of proficiency within their scope of practice!

I was afraid to see a Dr after 5 years and Dr Karres made me feel at ease, comfortable and I am so pleased that I have recommended her to my entire family and friends today. You were awesome Dr Karres, thank you for helping eleviate my fears and helping me.

Dr. Karres is wonderful. She takes the time to listen and you do not feel rushed. However, some of the staff could use customer service training. They are short with you on the phone and you feel rushed. (obviously busy) It is tough to get an appointment as well. There is NO follow up. If you want answers you have to make the phone call. They do not give you a warm, welcoming feeling at all. But Dr. Karres is really really good!
