Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:For me, the choice to purse this career was personal. I grew up in a family of women in healthcare and desired to be as strong, independent, and respected as they were. It is a career that has proven to be as challenging as it is rewarding and offers a lifetime of stability, diversity, growth and fulfillment. It is a privilege to care for the people in my community and help them to live their best and healthiest life possible. What I want my patients to know about me:I began my career working in Oncology for three years and then 12 years as a labor & delivery nurse before going back to school to be a nurse practitioner. I specialized in family health because I wanted to have the opportunity to follow and care for women throughout their entire life cycle while educating them about all aspects of health and wellness. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:When I am not seeing patients, I am spending all my time with my husband and two …girls. We enjoy traveling to visit family in Florida and going to the Caribbean.
