Dr. Lisa J. Molin, MD

Wow! I wish I had read reviews before seeing Molin. I had the very same experience as most. Rude. Annoyed. Refusal to listen. No comprehensive exam. No qualified course of action. I can’t believe she’s still practicing. Look at her across the board reviews. 50% at best.

Very aggravating person to deal with, I would hardly call her a doctor, more an assistant or even a irritated McDonalds worker who hates their job. Went in there for tonsil stones and my family and I waited an extra 45 minutes in the lobby, to just spend 190 seconds in the exam room. Told her about my throat and she suggested it was milk and to never drink milk again, and this was apparently her only cure to the problem, yeah sure, so we ask her for an explanation and she tells us “That’s above my pay grade” Held myself back and bit my tongue and just left with my parents. This doctor is useless and she should be fired. Doesn’t deserve to be a doctor!

I was 8 feet from the explosive decompression of a semi-tractor truck tire. It is the loudest sound I have heard in my 66 years. I immediately experienced a partial loss of hearing and distortion of all sounds. I called Lisa’s office the next morning, Friday when they opened and explained that I had hearing damage from this incident and that could I see her as soon as possible that day. The office staff told me they would get back to me. After 1 PM, no call back. I called again and was told there were no openings, not even for my emergency but that they would schedule me for a hearing test the following Monday. They would not schedule a dr. visit. I had obvious hearing damage. I didn’t need a hearing test to tell me that. I needed someone to at least look at my ears. But no, the best they could do is a hearing test 3 days later. I had the hearing test on a Monday, 3 days later and was told that Lisa would call me after she reviewed the results. No call Monday by close of… business and no call by mid day Tuesday. I decided to call the House Ear Institute in Los Angeles and was able to get an appointment the same day but they are 190 miles from my location and I could not get there in-time. They said I should come in the next morning which I did. I have inner hair damage from the blast. The House Ear Institute and the military (think IED’s) have had some success with a compounded supplement cocktail in repairing the hairs but the catch is, it needs to be administered within 72 hours. I was at 5 days already. If Lisa had seen me immediately and prescribed this regimen, there’s an 80% chance that I might not have the permanent hearing loss and distortion that I will have the rest of my life. To this day, I have not received a call back from her 2+ weeks later. If this is the best you can do Lisa, you shouldn’t be in the business.

Dr. Molin was attentive and very helpful and informative. Took the time to discuss issues and was very proactive. The office staff was also very helpful, efficient , and personable. I highly recommend this office and doctor.

Went to see this doctor for Sleep Apnea, she confirmed that I have it from my test results and proceeded to take a quick look. Told me to go back to my CPAP machine that hasn't worked in the past, the other option was to send me to Stanford where the would "Break my face" (her words) to cure it. Spent all of 10 minutes acting as if I was wasting her time and sent me on my way telling me to talk to my primary care doctor. What a waste of time and money.

I found Lisa to be exceptionally kind, and successful in ending my years of repeated fugal infections due to the hole in my ear. Another doctor wanted to do surgery but in 2 visits she solved the problem closed the hole with no surgery and she doesn’t think I’ll ever need to come back. I am free of constant ear aches because she is a very good and gentle doctor. I recommend her highly.

BEFORE YOU SEE THIS DOCTOR: Okay, folks, I tried to get my $50 copay back from the manager at this office and the conversation started out well. Artis, the manager seemed concerned and attentive at first. Unfortunately, she lapsed into VEHEMENTLY defending Dr. Molin and said that "there are"quite a few patients who DO love Dr. Molin." I told her that that is exactly what she is NOT supposed to do - inflame the anger of an irate client by rationalizing Dr. Molin's egregious lack of professionalism and competence during my son's exam - but she just went on and on trying to lecture me about how she, herself, has some doctors she likes and some she dislikes... So, it looks like even the office manger at this place is complicit in covering up for the incompetence and arrogance of Dr. Molin. It is imperative that if you have suffered at the hands of Dr. Molin, that you notify your insurance company, like I did. They will do an investigation and she will will be notified of the… complaint. Even if anything doesn't come of it, at least she knows that she can't continue to mistreat patients with IMPUNITY, that patients are fed up, and that she is being held accountable where it may hurt, eventually - her pocketbook - if the insurance company drops her. While this may seem harsh, it is obvious that she doesn't read her Google or Yelp reviews because she sure hasn't cleaned up her act over the years. I've also notified my insurance company that is okay to use my name on the complaint because I want her to know that I am not afraid to call her out; you can do it anonymously. The gal at my insurance company said that after they do their investigation, they will potentially "flag her contract for questionable services." Then, they will monitor her billing practices, and, if my son's less-than-two-minute visit was any indicator, it will become evident to the insurance company that she is most likely seeing way more patients in one day than the average ENT doctor - a sure sign of an "outlier" that is fraudulently ripping off insurance companies. So, again, at the very least, even if nothing is done by the insurance companies as far as punitive measures go, they are

I have no idea what kind of a doctor she is. I refer to my visit as a drive through Doctor visit. As in and out. I have no interest in going back.Her scedual was booked for the day. What can I say!
