Unfortunately there isn’t an option to give zero stars, if that was an option I would do so. After a traumatizing emergency appointment with this person and then having to go on to have surgery with a amazing doctor I now know that doctors like this need to not be working with people. Not only was her bedside manner horrible she was in a hurry so my “surgery” needed two nurses (lovely people) to lay on top of me to hold me down while she did her thing. 3 month later as Covid-19 really heats up the issue isn’t resolved (keep in mind my 30 minute “surgery” cost me over 1k after insurance), perhaps worse and I end up needing a very serious surgery. The new good doctor said that if I had come to him first he would have wheeled me into the operating room.

I have always been in fairly good health and although I have been a nurse for over 20 years and had the good fortune of very rarely being the patient, that changed 16 months ago. I met Dr. Portiz when in extreme pain and was set up for surgery the next day. I have had a total of 3 surgeries in the past 16 months, all with Dr. Poritz. This has been a long, painful process and the one thing that made it bearable; was the fact I had complete confidence in my surgeon. Dr. Portiz was outstanding in her care and treatment of my condition. She took the time to explain everything, I never felt rushed and was given the reality of my situation and reassurances I needed of my condition. I am very grateful for the care I received and could not recommend her more!

Took my 18 yo child to her to try to get some answers. She is extremely condescending, makes u feel like u r wasting her time. Horrible bedside manners. I felt reprimanded & was afraid to ask her any questions. We got absolutely no answers re my child’s condition on what was causing it or where to go from here. Will never return to see her again & I strongly recommend against anyone else seeing her unless u want to feel like a scolded child.

Dr. Poritz in my opinion is the best. She was very direct with my condition. I asked a few questions. Her answers were immediate and with confidence. When your dealing with a potential life threatening situation. I wanted what she offered. Confidence and professionalism with the facts and the ability to do the procedure. I absolutely will always refer her to anyone needing help. Thank you Dr Poritz.

My mom was referred to Dr Poritz thru her primary care physician after a test revealed an abscess that required immediate admittance to the hospital. She made herself immediately available, was informative and patient in explaining her condition. The office support team were responsive and thorough in the follow up tests and office visits. We cannot thank her enough for the excellent care she provided to our mom! We highly recommend Dr Poritz!

Condescending, unable to provide specific directions and unaware of current medical best practices for condition

She is very rude, nasty to other people, and has a very poor attitude. Its pathetic when someone can ask her questions and she just sits there like a bump on a log. She has herself on a pedistool so far above everyone else, she doesn't care about her patients at all. She is definately unprofessional!! I never seen a doctor get an attitude just by asking a simple question. And she can NEVER do her job by herself. She always has to have someone with her. ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC!!! IF YOU WANT TO LIVE THEN I SUGGEST YOU GO TO A DIFFERENT DOCTOR AND DEFINATELY AT A DIFFERENT HOSPITAL!!
