Dr. Lise Anne Rak, MD

I saw Dr Rak for a number of sessions and I wish I had not come back after the first when I noticed a huge red flag. Her cancellation policy is such that you can never cancel, you still have to pay for your session unless she finds someone to fill the spot. This is completely dependent on her, which is extremely unreasonable. I was seeing her for anxiety, which is ironic. She has a cold demeanor and overall isn't a very nice person not to mention she gives no advice so your sessions are not productive at all. She is basically making sure your medication isn't causing you issues and other than that does not care about treating patients through talk therapy. I wish I had never wasted my time with her.

I would not recommend Dr. Rak. She is not helpful if you have any issues that make you as a patient not simple to treat. She also makes strange wimpering sort of noises while you talk. Generally unpleasant to have to go in to see her. She is also very rigid about prescription refills if you have to travel or have other extenuating circumstances.

This psychiatrist does not follow through with her patients, she is not consistent in her dealings with clients, and she refuses to work with any individual who has difficult issues.
