Dr. Lisgelia Santana Rojas, MD

Dr. Santana treated my daughter, but could not figure out what was wrong with her. She suggested treatments without knowing the cause. When we would not continue the meds etc bc they were not helping her pain, she then ran tests and asked if my husband and I would come in with our children. We thought they had a diagnosis so we went in. They separated my children from my husband and I. Then began asking if my children felt safe in the home and many very personal questions. My children recorded this on their phones. They also asked my husband and and I very intrusive questions. Dr. Santana asked for us to return after this incident. I filed a complaint with Roger Oxendale who was the head of Nemours at the time. My child was misdiagnosed from 10-18 years old and instead of correctly diagnosing, we were blamed and she was made to feel like her pain wasn’t real. Once she turned 18 years old, Mayo Clinic diagnosed her with a genetic condition called Ehlers Danlos. She suffered in pain… for 8 years and was dismissed and our family was also treated unfairly. It’s very disappointing that a doctor who can not help a child shifts the blame on the child and family.

Dr. santana treated my child for over a year and when his chronic illnesses did not "Go away" she blamed the child.

My daughter has seen Dr. Santana for the last 2 years. We have been very happy with her.
