If you go to CHOP, do not see this hematologist. I took my 6 month daughter there to evaluate symptoms of purple teeth and dark urine. Her resident spent 10 minutes to collect all informations and look at lab values and said he did not know why my baby showed those symptoms and went out to discuss with hematologist. The hematologist, Loan Hsieh, came in to take a look for 1 or 2 minutes and said to me”mom, I dont have the answer for her condition and you should seek the answer at another department. Hematology has no association with your daughter’s condition” and walked out. She billed my medical insurance for more than $500 for showing up not even 2 minutes saying that she does not know about condition and didnt even care or like to ask other opinions from other colleages. With all abnormal blood test MCH, MCV, RWD, reticulocytes(too high) and she said no association with her department. My daughter was diagnosed of thalassemia that belongs to hematology department. Horrible doctor.

Luckily, i didnt listen to her and found opinions and my daughter was diagnosed of thalassemia… that belongs to hematology department. Horrible doctor.
