Dr. Lola Sarah Steinbaum, MD

Not up to the task of doctoring these days, it would appear.

I feel safe, and cared about at this office by not only the doctor but the entire staff. Dr. Steinbaum very knowledgeable, bright, and good communicator. It is so refreshing and so appreciated. Just really grateful.

I am a patient of Dr. Steinbaum. My appointment was at3pm today. She finally saw me at 3:50pm. I had a 4:15 appointment that I had to cancel. Always have to wait to see her. Time to find a new Doctor. No excuse for this.

Although you may have to wait when it's your turn she never rushes and you have her undivided attention. Very knowledgeable and thorough at every visit. Really listens and considers your opinion. Never condescending as so many doctors can be.

Dr. Steinbaum found a small lump in my breast during a routine exam. It turned out to be breast cancer. She was very diligent about getting my care to the next level. I.e. I couldn't schedule a mammogram for a week and a half but she called and got me in the next day. The lump was small but fast growing. If she wouldn't have discovered it when she did it would have been a very different story and much more advanced treatment would have been necessary. I have seen this doctor for years and she has always provided me with exvlemt care. I've had to wait too long to see her at times but I know that's because she gives patients the time they need.

i went to dr steinbaum in the mid 1980's with complaint of abd. pain and diarrhea following eating. she diagnosed me with an eating disorder and started putting me on multiple meds including antidepressants for manic depression. no lab testing was done. after 9 months of this i was much worse and only able to consume ensure. her manner with me became very terse when i would question why i wasn't getting any better. friends finally convinced me to see a different doctor and he saved my life. he patiently listened to me explain my symptoms and said he wanted stool samples asap. turns out i had an intestinal parasite . he prescribed the right treatment and i was cured. i endured months of unnecessary meds.,, pain and embarrassment and many missed days at work. i never went back to her. i told her that i had returned from a trip to peru a couple months earlier. that info was told to her on my first visit. i wondered if there was a connection. she didn't listen. i never went… back to her.

I've known this doctor for most of her career, and have never known her to be anything but caring, thorough, and concerned for my health and well being. By far the best of the various doctors I've seen over the decades.

did not listen to my concerns, only wanted to prescribe me a bunch of medicines, dangerous in so many ways! This doctor is NOT practicing good medicine. Very dangerous.

My daughter and I are current and VERY SATISFIED patients of Dr. Steinbaum. When I read the review from "one star," my immediate thought was...this is one of those patience that is NEVER satisfied with any doctor, any situation, any person, etc. The fact that she gave only one star for each category is a DEAD GIVEAWAY that my thought is accurate. I can't even believe I wasted my time reading their review. Anyone who gives one star across the board probably gives that score to everyone she/he encounters
