Dr. Lon Cockrell Madsen, DO

I saw him for almost year. I would discuss ailments & recent ER visits and he would literally look at some form on his clip board and say, "Hmmm, I don't see anything here...." EVERY VISIT! I have found a REAL doctor who actually listens and isn't just perscribbing some willy nilly prescription. Never once did I feel I was listened to or diagnosed properly! I was not impressed and I will NEVER GO BACK to the Quack!!

I'm not one for bad reviews, and I hate to write one, but it's justified and I'll tell you why. We moved to Spokane a couple years ago when my son turned 1, and he was due for his vaccinations. Dr. Madsens office rescheduled twice on us - One time we showed up for his vaccinations and the nurse wasn't there... "Something came up." If you have a toddler you know how difficult it is to leave the house, but we didn't make a fuss about it. We are family oriented, we understand. We eventually got his shots and scheduled for his next set of vaccinations six months later as they wanted to space it out. Six months comes up and we receive a call a couple hours before our appointment, reminding us of his appointment (their office doesn't have MyChart, so no digital appointment reminders). My mommy brain totally forgot and we happened to be in Seattle. Normally we wouldn't mind paying a $50 late fee since we are aware of their policy, but you'd think that since we were so patient with… them rescheduling on us so many times that they would have some understanding. They sent our late fee to collections a couple weeks later. We were hurt and decided to look for another doctor. We went to two different pediatricians and Dr. Madsens office failed to release my sons shot records to either of them, and they did not upload his records to the Washington State Immunization Registry. Over a year later, my son is now two and a half, we just called the office to figure out whats going on, and the nurse was super hostile and turns out... She wouldn't release his records until we paid our late fee, which is definitely illegal. We explained our rights to the nurse, Dr. Madsens wife, and she said that she would release his shot records, but nothing else. She wouldn't release his growth charts to us. So if you are looking for a pediatrician, please heed my warning, and go to Mt. Spokane Pediatrics right down the street. We were new to Spokane and decided to look past Dr. Masdsens poor reviews. We love Dr. Mariah at Mt.Spokane and their office is run professionally and ethically. The Crow Family

The nurse which is the Dr's wife is rude and does not take measurements correctly. apparently, I change height every visit? She is rude and the office is just looking for money, turn people out quickly without listening to the concerns of the patient. I do not recommend this office.

Dr Madsen is a great doctor he is easy to talk to always remembers who I am and truly seems to care about my medical concerns. Everyone is always caring and nice there. No long wait time for appointments. I feel lucky to have these guys on my side.

Never actually examines patients, doesn't listen to the patient. Very quick to prescribe meds to get you out of his office. Spends maybe 5 mins with the patient.

Dr. Madsen saved my life. He caught the issue when 2 other doctors and 4 appointments missed diagnosed the issue. Thank you, Dr. Madsen. 20 years in remission.

He and the whole staff are to awesome. Makes you feel at ease and listens to your every word! The best!
