Dr. Long N Truong, DDS

This terrible dentist sawed a cavity in an adjacent tooth while working on me. On 9/20/23 I, Brandon McCutcheon, visited Louisiana Dental center to have them look at a cavity on one of my lower left teeth. They recommended a root canal, but I asked for it to be extracted. They agree and performed the procedure on that day, 9/20/23. During the procedure, Dr. Truong Long N utilized a saw to help extract the tooth. While operating the saw, he accidentally chipped an adjacent tooth, creating a cavity. He failed to mention this during or after the procedure happened. There were x rays before and after the procedure. Dr Truong Long N also failed to prescribe me anti-biotics as a diabetic after the procedure, even though he verbally told me he was going to. I called a few days later to schedule an appointment to have the chipped tooth examined. I mentioned while using the saw Dr Truong Long N accidentally chipped my tooth and the area was sharp and dark grey around the chip. I was… scheduled, and on 9/27/23 I visited Louisiana Dental Center. Dr. Truong Long N examined the chipped tooth. He said there was a cavity and showed me the area of the tooth was black. He then offered to fill it for me for $220. I asked his assistant (name unknown) if he was liable for damages caused during his procedures. I also asked why the chipped tooth wasn't mentioned, nor the new cavity that was created. She said that they weren't focused on that tooth, so they didn't tell me about it. It was very vague dishonest. My main concern's are 1. A new cavity was created and I wasn't informed about it. 2. Failed to prescribe antibiotics after being told I would be prescribed antibiotics due to having diabetes (compromised immune system). 3. There was no option for free treatment of the issues created by them. The doctor's attitude was pretty bad as well. When he saw I was upset, he seemed to force a smile and laugh, or so it seemed. Though I'm not sure if personality has a role in holding a professional accountable.
