Dr. Lopa Himansu Shah, MD

This Dr. does not give you complete info regarding treatment for your child. My child had a procedure done here and I was not aware of the regulations of me not being able to accompany him in the procedure room nor the affects the medication would have in my child. We are traumatized about the experience and wish to warn others before choosing this dr. She will convince you she’s experienced many yrs and yet for hey to mention important factors regarding your child’s health and wellbeing. My child was gasping for air and she continued to ignore that fact to explain how to care for him at home. I didn’t want to hear about home care when my child could not breath correctly in the office. Dr. Shah you really need to re evaluate your practice and maybe change your line of work.

After the circumcision, instead of being reassuring and comforting, Dr Shah said our son was in the worst pain you can imagine. We weren't given any clear instructions or expectations and he got an infection the next day. After taking him to an urgent care clinic to get antibiotics, the infection was gone in less than 24 hours. Dr Shah insisted it wasn't infected and that other doctors don't know what they're talking about. For two more visits Dr. Shah used a probe with no pain killers to push down the extra skin to the point of bleeding. We had enough and went to see a urologist who scheduled a new circumcision to fix everything. According to the urologist, our baby was too big for the tool they used to perform the circumcision, resulting in a failed circumcision that shouldn't have been done in the first place. This was all done wrong from the beginning and we did not have a pleasant experience with Dr. Shah.

She is a very caring and personal doctor.Very professional and explains the diagnosis and treatment well.It is always pleasant to see her..
