Dr. Lora Kim Meadows, MD

Dr. Meadows is the most wonderful doctor I have ever seen! She is genuine, brilliant, and thorough, and her care is matchless. She has made such a difference in my health and life. She truly is missed here in Columbia, SC.

By far the best doctor! She is very compassionate spending ample time answering any questions you may have for her. She is very thurough and detailed providing the best care. In 2015, I saw my GYN about my growing belly. I thought I was pregnant or had something wrong with my uterus. An ultrasound showed a 16cm cyst with a nodular area on my ovary. My GYN wanted to preform laprascopic surgery to remove cyst. When she heard of my GYN's plan she ordered a CT; which showed a 17cm cyst. She became concerned & immediately referred me to a gynologic oncologist. She saved my life! I, in fact, had a tumor. I was diagnosed with an ovarian cancer. I shutter to think at what my prognosis could have/would have been if she had not cared so much. She is truly a blessing to me and my family!

Dr. Meadows has been my wife’s and my primary health care provider almost 20 years. She has provided us professional, thorough, compassionate care during some serious illnesses. She is a superb diagnostician who does an excellent job of communicating her diagnosis and treatment in clear understandable terms in a timely manner. In simple terms I do believe you could find a better doctor.

I have known Dr. Meadows for 24 of the 38 years that she has been in practice. She is the best Internal Medicine Doctor that I have ever been to. She is all about keeping you in good health. If you have a problem she is an outstanding investigator. she will not quit until she finds out what the problems is, and how or who can help to get it fixed. Because of her tenacity and love of her chosen profession, I can say she has saved two of my family members lives. She is the best. Judy Krummich, grateful patient.

Former Patient at Columbia Medical Group. Dr. Meadows was my primary care physician for over 10 years. She is an exceptional physician, and I am sure she will continue her level of outstanding care at any facility that she finds herself in. One of the reasons she provided such exceptional care was that she really listened to the patient and gave each concern validity and thought before making a diagnosis or administering treatment. She has a incredible knowledge of the medical field and always would always share why and how treatment would be administered , which really went a long way to put me (as a patient) at ease.

Dr. Meadows has been my physician for over 20 years now. Columbia's loss is Hilton Head's gain. She has been accessible when sick, provided much insight on my family history and what I should be doing to prevent and/or monitor family conditions, and has been an overall top quality physician. Every year when I would get my physical, she would sit down and go over all the tests and the time never seemed to matter as she would make observations and allow time to answer any and all questions. Even would ask about my kids!!! This seems to be a rarity in today's corporate practice world. I would recommend Dr. Meadows to anyone looking for a quality internist that is friendly, attentive, and will give you the time your health deserves. Very high quality physician.

Dr Meadows was my internist from 2011 to 2019. She has relocated. Aside from good and proper general care she was outstanding as a patient representative when I needed an advocate. My medical care is somewhat complex due to an autoimmune condition. When I suspected something was wrong and requested a specific test, She backed me up and requested that test. To me, as a patient of several doctors for this and that, The fact that she listened to my concern and followed thru, is the most valuable attribute that one wants in an internist. An advocate for your health. One who listens. She is proving very difficult to replace.

Dr Meadows is caring attentive internist. When i was diagnosed with cancer she put together a team and guided me through the medical maze in a way that i will always be convinced produced a more positive outcome.

Dr. Meadows is a wonderful physician! I have seen her for a few years and have been extremely happy. I always leave feeling heard and understand everything that she recommends/prescribes. Dr. Meadows is very smart and thorough with me and I really appreciate that.

I've been a patient of Dr. Meadows since 2005. Really hate that she has left Columbia and is now in Hilton Head but that is a blessing to the Hilton Head community as she is the most knowledgeable, kind hearted and caring physician I know. I have even considered continuing to be her patient but the drive is just too far. Hilton Head community, you are truly fortunate to have such an experienced physician joining your area.
