Just completed my second cataract surgery and can now see (20-20) without the need for contact lens for the first time in over 55 years! I never thought it would be possible. Dr. Cervantes is a compassionate, skilled surgeon who never made me feel rushed and took the time to answer my questions and alleviate my "sort of" fears. His staff and the staff at the Surgery Center of Fairfield County were friendly and professional, making this whole experience above my expectations. I would highly recommend him. I wish I had this done years ago! Thank you Dr. Cervantes.

He has no patience to answer my question. He only said 'I don't know" for the most comment question.

I was waiting many years to have the Lasik procedure, and am absolutely thrilled that I finally had it done with Dr. Cervantes. When I was ready to see a doctor for a consultation, Dr. Cervantes was recommended by another ophthalmologist. He came highly praised as the expert in the field to see. At my first consultation, the process was thoroughly discussed with me, all questions answered with patience and I never felt that I was being rushed out the door. On top of everything, Dr. Cervantes and his coordinator were incredibly accommodating and tried hard to try to get my procedure scheduled to help my timeline and what I needed. Apart from my great outcome, this was the best part of my experience, and I am very grateful they helped me the way they did. The procedure was fast and smooth, with everyone in the operating room walking me through every step and let me know what was coming up so that I felt comfortable. Ultimately it took 8 seconds per eye and the results have been amazing.… I can finally see without glasses after decades of wearing them. I cannot recommend this procedure and this office enough.

Dr Cervantes is an excellent and very skilled eye surgeon. He is professional, polite, friendly, informative and compassionate. His bedside manner is very comforting. I had two cataract surgeries and I very much highly recommend Dr Cervantes and his amazing staff.

There was no discomfort during my cataract procedure and the next day, my vision was as good as it was years ago... 20/20!! His office staff were also very helpful and friendly. My experience with Dr. Cervantes and his staff was outstanding! He and his staff are very professional, proficient, and reassuring. Both of my eyes had cataracts that needed surgery/lens replacement. Dr. Cervantes addressed my concerns and was able to suggest a plan that would correct vision in both of my eyes and enable me to see perfectly without any need for post-surgery corrective eyeglasses—quite an accomplishment for me since I’ve been wearing corrective lenses for 60 years! He and his staff thoroughly explained every step of the pre- and post-surgical procedures, this made me feel extremely comfortable with having the surgeries and very optimistic about the outcomes. I had two pre-op visits, a few phone discussions, and two post-op follow-up visits (one for each eye). I had no issues with the surgeries, nor did I experience any unexpected results, but felt reassured that I was able to meet post-surgery with Dr. Cervantes and his staff, nonetheless. Everyone that I encountered at the SCFC (from the Covid-19 screener to the intake receptionist, the surgery prep staff, anesthesiologist, and recovery room staff) were just as professional as Dr. Cervantes and his office staff making my entire experience very pleasant and comforting. I can now see blades of grass and the leaves on the trees more explicitly than I have in 60 years and I have Dr. Cervantes to thank for this perfect vision and the pleasant journey to arrive here!
