Dr. Lorenzo Gamez, MD

Dr. Gamez is a very special doctor. He is so gentle and kind with an extremely warm manner. He is very gifted, so intelligent and possesses a wealth of knowledge and wisdom. He really listened carefully and intently to all my concerns. One of the great qualities a physician can possess is compassion and attentiveness and Dr. Gamez exhibits those rare qualities and more. He wants to help in any way he can and he gives his patients the highest quality care and makes one feel valued. He has great empathy which is such an important quality in a true healer. I have a complex case and Dr. Gamez took the time to understand all facets and to provide me with the best possible path to a full recovery. I have been to many doctors but he is in a class of his own. Anyone who has the good fortune to be helped by him is extremely lucky.

Never go to this Dr. He kept me waiting for over an hour - and that was at 8am. Too entitled apparently to utter even the softest sorry. When he ordered an MRI and a mistake was made at the hospital which cost me $2800 out of pocket, his staff offered absolutely no assistance even after I asked for their support for over a year. Dr. Gamez never had the decency to speak to me directly so that we could fix the mistake. When I asked if I could just speak to my Dr directly, briefly, I was told I would have to pay for a full visit to speak to him. Instead, he put me off - leaving me on hold to speak to him for hours and never answering. I couldn't feel any less cared for by a physician or his staff. Somewhere along the way - this team lost their human compassion. A soul-sucking experience. Choose another Dr.

Could not ask for a better surgeon. He helped me with my poor feet from start to finish. I had to have a corrective surgery on my right foot that another surgeon was doing and low and behold he happened to see me as I was being wheeled into the OR room and gave me a hand shake and a big smile. Keep doing Gods work.

Dr. Gamez is a great listener, and then clearly and carefully explains the course of treatment. He made sure I understood exactly what is going on with my concern and how to treat it. I would recommend him to anyone who has a problem with their ankle.

After having unpleasant treatment from a podiatrist. Dr. Gamez was able to remove a ganglion cyst the size of a golf ball from the left upper foot. Good Doctor !

Doesn't read the chart or scans before seeing the patients. Completely missed a major issue on my MRI, which I did not find out about until I sought a second opinion. Very friendly, however, not great with complicated orthopedic issues.

When I was 18 yrs. old I popped out my ankle of the socket and it swelled up like a football if not bigger. I didnâ??t have health insurance so it was a very bad sprain at the hospital. About a year and a half later I went to an orthopedic doctor who told me that the ankle wasnâ??t in the socket and that most likely the outside ligaments were destroyed. After the surgery I was told that I had to have bone spurs take out, recreate ligaments for my stability of the ankle. I was also told that someday I may need to have my ankle fussed. That is tough to hear at 19 yrs. old. Well 20yrs later I went back to that doctor because the ankle was giving me problems. To the point I was limited in all my activities. While at my appointment I was referred to Dr. Gamez. Was told he would be the best option to fix the ankle without fussing the ankle. I made an appointment and meet Dr. Gamez for a consultation. He came right in knew what was wrong from the x-rays and how I did it. Gave… me my options and how they would affect my ankle. I tried shots to keep the joint lubricated but it didnâ??t work. I then decided to have the ankle surgery. He was informative on what was going to be done. How it would be before, during and after the surgery. All the while making sure I was comfortable with the information he was telling me. He made it a smooth ride. He even put up with my nagging after the procedure and every little question I had. I really appreciated it and still do now almost 4 years later. I consider him my doctor but a good friend as well. I would tell anyone who needs work on their foot or ankle he is the man to see. He even puts up with the nickname I gave him of "Bones".
