Dr. Lorey Harris Pollack, MD

I have been seeing Dr Pollack for over 25 years. He has a great bedside manor and always calms my nerves. He is quite knowledgeable and always takes the time to make me comfortable.

I am in my early 20's and went to Guzman and Pollack's office for my first ever visit to an ob-gyn. I originally scheduled for Guzman, but they had to cancel and wanted to schedule me a month after my original appointment. So I instead made an appointment with Pollack, who had an opening not that far away. The front desk woman was less than friendly. This being my first time, I was extremely nervous and took my mom with me. I was waiting in the exam room for the doctor and texted my mom in the waiting room that I wanted her to come in. While I was in the exam room, I heard my mom tell Pollack that I wanted her in the room because it was my first time. He said, "No, I don't care who you are". My mom replied, "She is literally blowing up my phone". Pollack replied (yelling), "I don't know what that means and you're not coming in. I will ask her if she wants you in there". He walked in 2 seconds later, and never mentioned anything about my mom. Another reason I was at the ob-gyn was to… get on birth control, and I wanted the IUD after much research beforehand. I said he refused to give me the IUD because it will cause infertility since I never had kids (not true). He tried to talk me into other birth controls, that I had already researched and was not comfortable with getting. During the checkup itself, he was nice and talked me through everything that he was doing. So I knew what to expect before he did it, which I much appreciated and relieved some of the stress. Though I am already looking for a new doctor who will allow my mom in the room with me and can put me on the birth control I feel most comfortable about.

Dr. Pollack has been my doctor since I was 23 years old. I have been coming to this office for 9 years. All I can say is the doctors are great and they have new staff. The reason I'm making this comment is because in the past I have experienced some of their rude office staff. They are all nice and actually say thier name when I call the office. I never have a problem getting in for ER visits. The exam rooms are a little outdated but overall I have never had a problem getting results and being diagnosed correctly. I would recommend him to anyone.

I have been a patient of Dr. Pollack since 1983. He is a caring physician and excellent surgeon. He saw me and my husband through some terrible times, including a hysterectomy at age 33. I would recommend him to anyone (and have).

Front office staff is a nightmare. Prepare for unreturned phonecalls, a tough time getting an appointment and a snotty attitude. You must always call for your test results and never get to discuss them with a doctor - forget about asking to have him call you back, I'm sure the front office never lets him know you called. It's a shame since he's got a nice bedside manner.
