Summary
Lori Burton, NP, joined the PeaceHealth Medical Group Cardiology Clinic team of providers in November 2017. Prior to joining Cardiology as a nurse practitioner, Lori worked many years with the Cardiothoracic Surgery Clinic as a registered nurse. Lori is interested in the medical areas of complex cardiovascular conditions involving valvular and coronary artery disease. Areas of research she has been involved in include patient education and strategies to reduce anxiety. Lori knows that acute and chronic illness can have a devastating impact and turn one’s life upside down. It is during such difficulties that the strength and passion of the human spirit have been her inspiration. Her goal as a nurse practitioner is to provide compassionate, high quality care. In her spare time, Lori enjoys gardening, painting and hiking with her family. She and her husband have a son in high school and another son attending Western Washington University in Bellingham.
