Dr. Lori Nelson Byrd, MD

I am one of Dr. Harrel’s patients, but I had the honor of haven’t to be seen and treat by Dr.Byrd. She was VERY sweet and caring. Although I wasn’t feeling good at all, and a little afraid of what would have to be done to my food. She made me feel very comfortable, she is really one of the best doctors I have ever been to without being a regular patient!!! Thank You.

My appointment was made due to concern of a growth on my nose. Dr. Byrd removed it for biopsy but believed it was likely nothing (later proved true). However because she initiated checking the rest of my body while I was there, and the effort she made to be so thorough while looking, she found melanoma on my back which I was unaware existed. It had already entered, superficially, the 2nd level of skin (dermis), requiring referral to an oncologist and immediate surgery (within 2 weeks). Thank God Dr. Byrd cared enough to look. I now go back for periodic visits. She and her staff are friendly and polite.
