Whenever I have a problem Dr. Colyer-Aversa takes the time to listen patiently and provides thorough knowledge of how to resolve it...She has a great bedside manner and I would be lost without her.

Dr. Aversa is a gem. She and her staff have always treated my son and I with great respect and courtesy. Whenever I have had to call their office they have been very responsive to my needs to see that my son was cared for expeditiously and with a great bedside manner. I have been going to her practice since my son was 9 months old and will continue as longs as possible. She is the BEST!!!!

Dr. Aversa is very personable and caring. She is on top of things. Love her.

This physician is very friendly and insightful. She loves treating her patients and building rapport with families. This physician is very knowledgeable and stays on top of clinical updates. She is an awesome Pediatrician.

Dr. Aversa has great bedside manner and her staff are professional and courteous, however, on more than one occasion I and friends of mine have had to make repeat visits to her office with sick children whose infections can be cleared up with a simple course of antibiotics, but she refuses to prescribe them until your kid is really sick! Dr. Aversa is of the school of thought that antibiotics weaken the body's ability to fight infections. Little ones constantly bring home colds from school, and it's not comforting having to go to Dr. Aversa multiple times over the course of days before she will ultimately prescribe a needed antibiotic - not to mention the lost school days for your little one and lost work days for you as you sit there watching your kid get sicker. At the end of the day, I want my kid to recover as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, after years of going to Dr. Aversa, I have lost faith in her, which is sad because she is otherwise a good doctor with great bedside… manner. I guess the best defense is a good offense, and ensuring your child has great nutritition is probably the best approach. I'm now reading Dr. Joel Fuhrman's "Disease Proof Your Child" in an attempt to accomplish just that.

I have 13 children ages 30 yrs to 9 yrs. I first met Dr Aversa 1994 I had my 8 th child at the time. We had just moved to NJ. I found Dr Aversa very experienced professional, a patient. We were patients at that practise until it closed and her she moved her practise to Irvington. We followed her to Irvington. She is now located in Brookdale. I am thrilled! You will be very fortunate to have a pediatrician as competent, and pleasant as she is.

The doctor has horrible staff. Their medical biller is incorrect, have to continuously follow up with the insurance company to make sure it is accurate. The doctor misdiagnosed my son several times, telling me not to worry and tries to downplay when I bring something to her attention. They do not answer any questions accurately. They will leave you on hold for several minutes while trying to "look up info".

insensitive to first time mom.my son had rashes for 3 weeks .I wanted to talk to her but she never called me back.there was also a time when my son got colds and vomited.after the visit no follow ups.

I have been going to her office for about 4years and i absolutely love it
