Dr. Lori Beth Frank Joy, MD

My IUD was placed incorrectly from day one. This was the 1st time I have ever had this procedure done. I was told that didn't know what pain is because I haven't had a baby. I missed 1 week of work. I knew something was wrong but I kept getting blown off, for several weeks. I went to my regular DM and she instantly knew something was not right. She sent me in for an ER ultrasound the same day. Ultrasound revealed I wasn't being a diva. One of the arms of the device was, and had been, embedded in my endometrium. After the IUD was removed I called and left a message that I would like to speak with Dr. Lori Joy and briefly gave the receptionist a rundown of what had happened. I never even received the courtesy of a call back. The day of placement, the nurse actually teared up and apologized to me. This is a nurse that assists with this procedure on a routine basis - and she knew something was done wrong and barbaric. So, here I am 6 months later and medical bills still trickling in from… this, which only adds insult to injury. Currently up to about $2,000.00 in my out of pocket expenses for this mistake.

I would recommend This Doctor to everyone and anyone...She is the best Ob/gyn out there!
