Dr. Lori Shoos Mullen, MD

Dr. Mullen is an amazingly competent physician. She is down to earth and is also compassionate. These attributes are difficult to find in physicians. She is a class act! I would recommend her without hesitation. Her staff is also knowledgeable and courteous.

We are in the process of looking for a new ob/gyn since we moved. I recently had a miscarriage. When I called to set up the appointment with Dr. Mullen, the scheduling nurse asked if "everything had come out" of me OK regarding the miscarriage. Not at all a tactful way to ask that question. But we went ahead with the initial consult with Dr. Mullen. Just to sort of have an interview to see if we'd like her for the future. I was told to arrive 20 minutes early to the appointment. We were not seen until one hour later. And we were very disappointed at how lacking in friendliness she was. It was very off-putting. And she regurgitated some "facts" from my UH record about my miscarriage but parroted them to me inaccurately. Saying that it was ectopic. When really it was not ectopic, etc. etc. So I was not at all impressed with her precision to know what she was talking about. And definitely not impressed at all with her bedside manner. She talked about trying to conceive… and "punting me over" to the fertility clinic if we have problems. I'm looking to be treated like a human being and talked to like a human being. We absolutely will not be returning.

Dr.Mullen is very compassionate,caring and knowledgeble. I would recommend her to all my friends without any doubt.
