Dr. Lori Jean Stack, MD

Dr. Stack is rude, arrogant, and has horrible bedside manner.

My daughter in law going thru a trying pregnancy and coming down to CHOP multiple times for appts, tests and the birthing plans was told all parents could be in the room for the birth along with their 5 yr old daughter. During her stay she had to witness a stillborn birth of twins in the room next door because they shared window was not covered. How devastating. Then this Doctor Slack comes in (1st time she showed her face but had been in shift already for over 12 hrs) and says everyone except the father should leave (just grandparents)the sibling can’t stay and only the father and 1 other person can be in the room for the birth. Totally conflicting info from what they have been told all along. She refused to hear anything. Keep saying it is “hospital rules” and it is “up to her discretion “ . She upset my daughter in law so much. She was crying and almost hyperventilating. This is professional and good care? After being here for 30 hrs already now she did not want to go into… labor because she did not this woman to be the one to deliver her baby. Such upsetting behavior. Very very poor bedside manner.

I definitely recommend Dr. Stack's practice. She listens well, is both sensitive and straight forward in answering my questions. I was uneasy when we first met, nervous, but she revealed a good sense of humor, a great sense of her limits. She made an outstanding recommendation for a doctor of Gynecologic Oncology. I wish for general care, she still practiced in my neighborhood!
