Lorinna Shniter

I am a doctor Lorinna Shniter's patient for many years, and I would strongly recommend her to anybody who want to have a good doctor. Before her I had another doctor who maybe wanted to earn all money in the world. Therefore, he never wanted to refer his patients to specialists. For many months I complained about severe pain. He tried to understand what caused my pain, but still did not find the real reason. But, as soon as I came to Dr. Shniter, she referred me for some different additional tests which did not clarify that either. Then, I think, she guessed what could cause my condition and said that I had to go to GI specialist ASAP and recommended me a very good one. GI doctor perform some other tests and found that I had a cancer. Then Dr. Shniter recommended me a very good surgeon. And, if that would not be such a nice, caring doctor as Dr. Shniter, I would not be able to write this review because I would be dead 5 years ago. Dr. Shniter is a very nice, pleasant person inside… and outside.. I watched her many- many times. When she enters the room to see her patients, she always friendly smiles to them, ask what bothers them and carefully think what would be the best medication for each particular patient, what tests they maybe need for the more precise diagnostic. When she gets the result of the test, for which she referred the patient, nurse calls and inform that patient about the result. In case if the test result is not good, she does it by herself, explains what should be done next. If that is not emergency, she usually calls after finishing with her patients for the day, otherwise, she does it immediately.

Completely unprofessional. Barely looked at my mother after having us wait almost an hour. Made us wait a week for the results, then called us at 5pm on a Friday to tell us - "I doubt it's cancer, but TO MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER, I'll refer you to an oncologist". It was cancer. Stage 4 and my mother died a year later. She complained at each appointment about chest pains, etc, and she specifically asked for a chest x-ray multiple times years following up to this particular appointment and Dr. Shniter brushed off my mother's requests every time stating "You look and sound fine". It took grapefruit size lymph nodes coming out of her neck, 2 years after the initial complaint, to have a scan. Her bedside manner is terrible and her nurse, Janice is even worse. No regard for the patient's emotions, nerves etc. I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone. She apparently doesn't have the time to be bothered. Especially elderly and high risk patients, GO SOMEWHERE they actually care… about you. I'd still have my mother had Dr. Shniter listened to her.

Did not seem to care about actually helping me with my pain/problem or to listen to what I was presenting with, only cared about what she was going to prescribe and to get to the next patient

This was the most memorable doctor I have ever been to. She interrupted me, as a child would do, constantly during our visit.. i could tell when she entered the room that she could care less about her patients. By far the most rude and unknowledgable doctor I have ever been to. I will never return to see her ever again. I did not even have the time to properly explain my health issues, before she said she was out of time and wrote me 2 prescriptions (that did not pertain to my current health situation). I will be getting a new, compassionate PCP.

She doesnt seem to care about anything other than what she says- doesnt listen well to what works for you when you had an ilness and "know" what works to cure it-doesnt respond to your emails- a huge disappointment and is costing me more money and keeps my illness lingering on because what she says goes no matter what !!!!! Bolony !!!

Dr. Shniter is my mother's doctor, and I have NO idea why she has stayed with her for so long. My mother was recently in pain, extremely swollen lymph nodes, fever for 6+ days, etc. She had an appt. with Dr. Shniter, after waiting 45 minutes in the waiting room, we were moved to the exam room, where we waited another hour. AN HOUR. When Dr. Shniter FINALLY came in, she was not giving my mom her full attention. She was in pain, crying, and Dr. Shniter, acted as though she didn't have time. Once we finally had her attention, she ordered chest x-rays (which my mom had previously been asking for since she had been coughing flem for months, but Dr. Shniter didn't recall her previous requests), and 2 cat scans. Have we gotten any follow up? Not really. The MOST ridiculous response I have ever heard from a doctor... She calls (after we had to leave 2 message the following day), and she states that we'll need to go to a specialist, but "wasn't sure just yet what kind." OK... So then… the following day, a Friday, waiting nervously to hear from her, she calls, at 5:30pm (after 2 confusing calls from her nurse), and that she STILL isn't sure if she needs to see a heart specialist, a cancer specialist, or an infection specialist. "Send me a message about 11am on Monday, and I'll get back to you then about what to do". I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. Are you kidding? Make my mother, who's STILL running a fever, can't hardly swallow, because her nodes are still swollen, wait ALL weekend, to find out if you what to do next. Totally disappointed and disgusted with the "care" this doctor has provided (none) so far. Stay far away from Dr. Shniter. She's far too busy to be bothered with sick patients. Oh - and still waiting for that call back.

Dr. Shniter is the best doctor I have ever met. She is very caring responds fast, takes even the smallest concern very seriously. I don't mind the long wait once in a while if I will get the best service, professionalism, and most importantly answers. My visits gotten more Frequent lately and she is just on top of everything. I am very fortunate to have her as my doctor and highly recommend Dr. Shniter if you need a primary Physician.

Dr. Shniter has been my doctor for a long time. So long, I can't remember when that started. She's always given me her utmost attention. She listens to what I have to say & my opinions. She's always up to date on new treatments.On one occasion, I had a long wait & Dr. Shniter was rushed. But that happened because of something out of her control. I'm not in good health & see Dr. Shniter often and that only happened once.Dr. Shniter's office staff seems to be very busy. Even so, I think they could be a litele more courteous & friendly. I see a lot of specialists and Dr. Shniter's office staff isn't the worst I've encountered, just not the best. I highly recommend Dr. Shniter to anyone looking for an internal medicine doctor.

I had a specific medical problem that I had been seeing my previous doctor for over 10 years about. I really disliked the way he treated me in that he was very impersonal and never remembered me even though I saw him at least three times a year. Dr. Shniter was very personable and very caring. She approached my problem differently and have since been asymptomatic for 2 years! She is amazing!
