Dr. Lorna Beth Fountain, MD

The lack of knowledge about complex chronic health issues is horrific. She, nor her residents have not attended quality medical schools. They do not listen to the patient, they make assumptions if you have a chronic autoimmbw disease. This woman should not be practicing medicine let alone supervising residents. I found that the residents she supervised could not comprehend basic organic chem concepts and on two occasions prescribed medication that was not appropriate for me condition. One must ask oneself why bayfront hospital allows this woman so Much power. She is incompetent at best.

Dr. Fountain is very sweet and helpful; however, the staff that answers the phones, makes appointments, and checks patients in are not very kind nor helpful. I've also had various problems with billing. Keep in mind...if Dr. Fountain is not available...other doctors or residents at the office may not be covered under your insurance and they will not let you know this.
