Dr. Lorna Jean Fredrikson

I have been going to Dr Fredrickson for 20years and she always completes a thorough exam. Since I’ve had Basel cells removed along with less serious spots, it’s good to know she checks everywhere unlike another Dr I went to because they were closer to home. No one is better then Dr Fred! She even provides her professional opinion on certain facial products I use (brown spot removal)

I highly recommend Dr. Fredrickson.

Yesterday, I showed up on time for a 11:20am appointment, and had not been seen after an hour. It was announced in the waiting room, that Dr. Fredrikson was delayed with a patient, and the 3 patients waiting would be seen 'in a while'. That was upsetting that no communication had occurred from the office during that hour when I was waiting. It was also disturbing to learn that 1 patient had been waiting 1hr and 40mins... again, with no communication from Dr. Fredrikson or her staff. I asked for a refund on my co-pay and then left the office. This is not a surgical facility... there aren't life-threatening time-critical procedures occurring in the office where say a doctor can't provide a status update... providing communication before one is grossly behind schedule is a mark of organization and a well-managed office that this group does not demonstrate.

I have been seeing her for about 9 yrs. for cancer screenings & cosmetic procedures. She has always been extremely competent and has a wonderful "beside" manner.

waited an acceptable time in the office and in the exam room. Doc was more than pleasant and answered all my questions and set up a return visit in a few weeks. will recommend this doc to my friends and family.

Dr. Fredrickson is very uncaring and will only see you for one "issue" per visit. Most likely because she wants to be able to bill your insurance as much as possible.

I had been going to this doctor for several years but my last appointment was so disappointing I won't be going back. It cost me a $50 co-pay to be told I am allergic to eyeshadow, which is what I went in telling them I had and was told to see their aesthetician to see if her makeup can help me. Really? I went to a doctor to see if I could be treated for the condition not for them to try to sell me makeup. I won't be going back.

Long wait to see doctor. Then she will only address one "issue" per visit. So if you want to talk about acne and rosacea, plan on two separate visits. Long wait time, constant turnover of staff in staff, including the NP and physicians. That should be enough of a red flag that there are plenty of other good dermatologists in AZ that would offer better care and service.

I have been going here for years and even recommended people to this office. I'm not sure if their policy changed or if I just now realized their policy. This office will only see you for ONE issue per appointment. So, if you go in for a rash and want to ask about a mole - they will require you to make a second appointment. The nurse flat out admitted that it was so they could bill twice and because of the time involved. Really? The NP spent 5 minutes with me and she couldn't take the extra 5 minutes to check a mole? So, they wanted me to make another appointment, take time off of work to drive there, wait 15 minutes in the waiting room and pay another $40 copay. I'm pretty sure they are not putting the patient first. Do yourself a favor and try your primary care physician or another derm before calling AZ Skincare.

I scheduled an appt months in advance. Showed up on time and waited a reasonable 15 min in the waiting room. Then I sat in the exam room with a drape on me for ONE WHOLE HOUR with no one coming in to explain the delay. I poked my head out the door and asked one of the ladies how much longer since I've been waiting an hour and she said i was next. Then an asst comes in and says to get dressed to talk with the office mgr and i said I prefer to wait to see the doctor and then I would speak with the mgr, and that if they were running this far behind they could have called me before my appt to reschedule, or let me know when I showed up so I could do errands or reschedule, or at least come in the room before I have to ask someone to explain the status and I suggested they should reimburse my copay for these reasons. Any patient would be disappointed in waiting this long without explanation. Then the asst comes back with a receipt saying they refunded my copay and I could get dressed and… the doctor would not be seeing me today. I said this is very unethical when I wait an hour and 15 min, I have cancer, and am there to recheck precancerous spots removed 3 mos earlier. So if you like to wait and be treated as such, this is the place.
