Dr. Lorraine Clarke Young, MD

I received a very quick superficial exam of only parts of my skin. It is my understanding that skin caner could present anywhere on a body, so the whole derma would need to be checked for a proper exam. I did not receive this.

I went to her after visiting with several other MDs; she was the first one to figure out my diagnosis and I'm completely treated now. She took plenty of time to help me figure out the puzzle and I felt lucky to see her.

Wonderful, compassionate, warm, patient, and knowledgeable. My search for an expert is finally over!

Doctor Lorraine Young, who is now at UCLA, told me more about her kids' college accomplishments than my fungus symptoms, treatment, and outlook. After three tests and 2 visits I realized I learned more from google research. You'll get a 5 minute visit and nothing more! Voicemail, email or a phone conversation between visits is NOT a possibility!! A 5 minute visit is all you get. I have found office staff has strict orders Not to pass you onto any form of communication after the visit. I'm truley frustrated and extremely disappointed that after taking time to go to her office repeatedly, I learned nothing. I'm now looking for another expert in dermatology. Any recommendations?I requested her office staff to have her call me as a simple follow up to my culture results

Dr. Young is the best physician they have at UCLA...seriously, go to anyone else and you'll always be comparing them to her. She is sincere, compassionate, and at the top of her game! Everyone wants to see her. And now I know why!!

Dr. Young was the most professional, kind, and patient physician I've had in almost 20 years of seeing dermatologists. I would refer my mother to her - or anyone, for that matter. She is obviously brilliant and compassionate - but she is tough to get an appt with b/c everyone wants to see her...

I'm sure Dr. Young is highly qualified technically, but she was brusque and dismissive. Maybe she was just having a bad day.
