Dr. Loth Edmund Lieberstein, MD

One of the kindest, caring doctors in Reno. He has retired. All of our loss. I was with him for 40 years.

HE HAS BEEN MY DOCTOR FOR ALMOST 40 YEARS. HE IS KIND, KNOWLEGABLE AND PROFICIENT IN HIS FIELD. WOULD NOT THINK OD GOING TO ANOTHER DOCTOR

Doctor Loth E. Lieberstein was seen for digestion problems. He recommended surgery and he wanted me to do it the next morning. When the decision was made to get a second opinion this doctor became dark. He said he would 'not be insulted if we went to other doctor.' However his actions after that statement would indicated he was very insulted in my opinion. He said if we didn't have the operation done the next morning it wouldn't get on the schedule with GI Consultants for a month. Another doctor's office confirmed the diagnosis and this other doctor could perform the surgery the following week. The other doctor also came across more rational and understanding of the situation in my opinion. Then in my opinion Dr. Loth E. Lieberstein coded the tests he wanted done incorrectly so my insurance would not pay for it. I had to pay out of pocket for simple blood tests. It was a simple blood test in my opinion that insurance should cover when coded correctly. It's an old doctor's trick… when they are angry with their patient. Then weeks later he refused to see me, or let anyone else at G.I. Consultants see me because I went to another doctor. You can't miss this guy. He wears multicolored pinstripe shirts and gold cuff links. Do not recommend this doctor. He puts his ego before the health of his patients in my opinion.

Dr. Liberstein is an awesome GI. I'm in my 20's and was referred to him and I'm glad I was. He was able to tell me what was wrong with me after visits to 3 different ERs over the course of about 4 years. I'm glad to finally be getting answers.He's a wonderfully hilarious guy, and takes WAY more time than I would expect to talk about everything. He explains everything very well, and makes sure you understand. The staff at the office has always been kind. I get reminders mailed to me when I need to come in, and making the appointment is always painless.

Dr Lieberstein is an EXCELLENT DR and a Super person... We love him...
