Dr. Lotika Reena Misra, MD

This is a rating on Lotika Misra not the hospital. Please avoid this woman at all costs. She has some serious personal issues. She was a CONSULTING doctor while I was in the hospital... Seton Main, after a heart attack. Because I have an autoimmune disease that falls in the neuro department. She called me on a "no caller ID" phone at 8:15 in the evening trying to get me to admit to alcohol/drug abuse as the reason for my heart attack. Gave me a veiled threat she would expose me to other doctors!

Dr. Misra saw me as inpatient. I have a number of diseases like aml and inter cranial high pressure plus chronic pain for several years now. I started passing out randomly and I mean randomly . She came in my room and has told me I am faking it... Seriously!!!! She's been rude and uncaring since the beginning. NEVER disliked a dr so much.....

Very good experience--Dr. Misra was thorough and knowledgeable and took me seriously. The nurse was very nice, too. I would highly recommend her.

I did not have a positive experience with Dr. Misra. I was misdiagnosed, and ultimately had to seek help elsewhere. I would suggest you seek a second opinion if possible for any medical problem. She actually told me not to bother because my problems were "anxiety". Had I followed this advice, I'd be dead now. I had never before had a doctor say this to me. I also found her to be very short and defensive with me.

Dr. Misra swiftly and accurately diagnosed my elusive condition and had me admitted to St. David's hospital very rapidly so that I could receive further treatment. Dr. Misra's bedside manner is top-notch! She is professional, dedicated and compassionate. During each of my follow-up appointments, Dr. Misra has continued to provide impeccable care.

After months, other specialists and so many tests, Dr. Misra listened to me and was correct in that I had a few different things goign on as opposed to one big thing. She also explained what she thoughe was happening. Test proved she was right!

I had a very good experience.
