Dr. Louis Max Alpern, MD

Recently had cataract surgery done by Dr. Alpern. It was an incredible experience beginning to end and now have perfect vision again! During my many related office visitsI had the opportunity to observe the caring, patient & compassionate manner in which he cares for his patients and the very obvious level of teamwork & mutual respect shown between Dr. Alpern & his staff. They truly work as a team where every member is valued & respected while being held to high expectations. Dr. Alpern & his staff are a rare & wonderful example of what medicine can & should be in today’s “time pressured” world. Kudos to each & every one of you! ??

I wouldn't recommend any other Ophthalmologist!

I had my first cataract surgery and it was very successful. It made a big difference on my vision. I'm very grateful with God, Dr. Alpern and the whole staff that made this possible, especially during these COVID times. "Awesome doctor and staff!" I have been a patient of Dr. Alpern for over 20 years, He has treated me and my husband through the years. He has also operated on both for us for cataract surgery. Results on surgery are phenomenal! We both can read without glasses!! Also, want to assert that Dr. Alpern has an awesome staff. Teamwork is displayed at all levels! The staff is friendly, courteous and respectful to all patients. Furthermore, since we are currently in a pandemic mode throughout the city, Dr. Alpern and his staff have taken extra measures on sanitation to ensure each and everyone who walks into the office, lobby, examining rooms and restrooms are safe! I've been a patient of Dr. Alpern for several years. Recently he performed cataract surgery on both my eyes, and I was amazed at the results. His expert ability has allowed me to see without my glasses for the first time in 57 years. I'm compelled to write this review so others can benefit from his skills. Very happy with Dr Alpren. He performed cataract surgery on both eyes and took the time to listen to my specific needs and repeat different tests until he was satisfied that everything was correct. His staff was friendly, courteous and professional. I will be making an appointment for for my wife with Dr Alpren in the near future.

Dr. Alpern is an EXCELLENT SURGEON ... my mom had cataract surgery in 2005 and 2006 ... now 91 living in Scotland (ex-Chihuahua, México) and can read the newspapers without her glasses !!!
