Dr. Louis Wilson Benton, MD

Dr. Benton has been my doctor for many years. YEARS ago, The first miscarriage I had he prayed with me. He diagnosed me with endometriosis 15+ years ago and just recently performed a oophorectomy and complete hysterectomy on me while cleaning up Stage 4 Endo. I had to switch clinics for several years due to insurance issues but as soon as our insurance changed and it allowed me to return to Dr. Benton I scheduled an appointment immediately! I was over due for that surgery! He’s my moms doctor and my daughters doctor. He’s delivering my granddaughter today. We trust Dr. Benton 100%! He’s down to earth and very compassionate about his patients.

I have been using Dr. Benton for about 8 years now, he’s delivered all 3 of my children. He’s very caring and understanding, and will break things down for me to understand them better, along with great bedside manners in labor and delivery! I live an hour away from Hattiesburg and I refuse to use any local doctor in my area, we love Benton! I highly recommend women to use him! I’ll hate to see it when he retires!

Have been using Dr. Benton for over six years now due to my previous doctor retiring. Dr. Benton is caring and will listen to your problems and is willing to fix them. I moved to another state over 3 years ago, and I continue to travel to Hattiesburg yearly to see him.

I have been seeing Dr. Benton for a very long time. He always answers my questions, no matter how silly I feel they may be. He makes me feel comfortable and I always recommend him when someone asks about a good gyno in town.

Great doctor! You cannot help but love him. I have been under his care for the past fifteen years, and he has always answered questions that I or my husband pose to him with empathy, patience, and honesty. From routine visits,minor problems to pregnancy, and beyond; he is always kinds, always attentive, and always professional. Because of this, I have referred many patients to him over the years, and they love him as much as I do. He will follow up and make sure that you get the care that you need, and he has a way of soothing the concerns of his patients. I wish all doctors were like him. He sets the bar for others in the medical profession, and I should have filled this out for him a long time ago.

First went to him about six months ago, after years of not going to an Ob-Gyn. Found him easy to talk with, and when some problems came up recently, he has been easily accessible and very good at explaining options and treatments. Very pleased and glad I chose him!

There is no other doctor like Dr. Benton. After another doctor almost caused me and my oldest severe injury during delivery, I was extremely cautious of any doctor. He has delivered my last two and is fixing to deliver my last. He has put "humanity " back into the medical profession. It is a shame doctors like him are sooooooo rare!

I have been under Dr. Benton's care for 5years. When I have to see another doctor due to him being out or in an emergency i would rather just reschedule. The rating on Bedside manner(caring) should really go up to like 10 stars. Thats the number 1 thing I love about him. He always takes that extra step to make sure you know that he cares. He doesnt just come in your exam room say "everything looks good, see you next time" he makes the point to show you that as his patient you are important to him even though he has other patients waiting! Top choice for an OB Doctor!!!
