Dr. Louis Charles Blaum JR., MD

Dr. Blaum is a kind and caring doctor. From my first consult, biopsy, surgery, and aftercare, he always treated me like I was his only patient. He guided me through everything explaining in detail what would happen. His staff is remarkable. They set up all of the appointments that I needed and made me aware of any changes. You can call them with any questions, they encourage this, they will never think you are calling too much. I would highly recommend Dr. Blaum.

My mom had breast cancer, lil you more in her left breast. She ask if there was a chance of it coming back in the other he said yes so my mother had a double mastectomy BUT if Dr. Blaum told my mom all the facts like the fact that she has the type of cancer that can come back as anything. My mom never would of got a double mastectomy and put her self through all that pain & disfigurement if she knew it can come back as a different type of cancer!!! My mom told him she was going to another dr & dr. Blaum out right told her then she’s gonna die!!!! I don’t know how this man still has his license!!!!! Do not go see this man & don’t let a loved one either!!!!!

Dr. Blaum walked with me through Breast Cancer from biopsy to mastectomy and chemotherapy, and has been following up ever since. He is a skilled surgeon and a wonderful, caring man. I highly recommend Dr. Blaum.

Maybe a good surgeon, but if you value your emotional care as much as your physical, stay away from this office. Very little compassion and an office staff of maybe some of the most unfriendly people we have ever encountered. It almost seems like smiling is discouraged. The office is run by the doctor's wife "Becky" who is probably the most unpleasant of any of the staff and the obvious reason why the rest are the way they are. If you still happen to take a chance with this office, be very careful and watch your billing VERY closely. The office has some odd policy of over-billing their patients PRIOR to submission to insurance for fear of getting stuck with a non-paying or poorly insured customer. Then once your insurance company issues the office their payment, they will refund you the difference minus whatever other fees they come up with outside of what they are sending your insurance company! Very shady. Don't try to ask any of the staff about this. They will reply that… it's just a "Becky" policy and then you'll have to deal with her getting loud, unprofessional, and talking down to the patient (who may still be in recovery from surgery) .

Dr Blaum exhibits very serious professional and ethical issues. I am considering reporting him to the Medical Board. Please do not go to see him.

I recently accompanied my daughter to an appointment with Dr. Blaum. His mannerism, expertise and overall demeanor were remarkable. He was professional, compassionate, reassuring and we are grateful to have had a good outcome to her problem...we thank him and his professional and courteous staff for their help and concern.

Very professional, great bedside manner. He not only cared about my physical condition but my mental condition through a very upsetting time. He answered all my questions. He explained every procedure.I would recommend him to anyone needing a very competent surgeon.

Punctual, professional, patient with my incessant questions, great bedside manner, way ahead of the rest of the valley in technique and procedure, great staff, biopsy was basically painless and I was fully awake, recovery has been amazing and my results were in earlier than expected. Great experience with Dr. Blaum and his staff.

I have never seen a doctor that is so rude as this doctor. He has no consideration for the patient or the family. If you want a doctor that cares about you, please don't go to him.
