Dr. Louis Frank Kretschmer, MD

I too was sent to him for an iME by Sedgwick. He immediately told me that my injury happened when I was 17 years old (I was 56 years old during my visit and had been a firemen for 35 years when I was injured at a drill) I had an MRI , X-Ray of my back injury. He refused to even discuss any of my documentation and just talked about dogs…..this guy is TERRIBLE. Do what you can if you are ever sent to him and get a lawyer immediately!

I went to independent medical examination on behalf of Sedgwick Claim Management services, Inc. administrator for my work related back injury. The circumstances which gave rise to my injury and medical history were well documented prior to the examination. The IME was performed by Dr. Louis F. Kretschmer, MD, Orthopedic Surgery. I could not believe that during the examination Dr. Louis commented twice that I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease (MS) which would be hard to argue as the cause. He did not ask during the examination how the autoimmune disease affected me or my work performance. I felt like he was requesting approval for his predisposed opinion. Many other doctors disagree with his reported opinion. No integrity, definitely bias on behalf of insurers.

Dr. Louis made an IME for my work related lower back injury with a psychologist Dennis Chong ,bottom line is these doctors are hired for one purpose to either deny or minimize your injury claim, the insurance company pays the doctor's fee,he examining you not for the purpose of treatment,nor to help you find relief from your injuries .Rather, it is the doctor's job to obtain information like MRI & EMG ,that will either allow the insurance company to terminate its obligation to pay your medical bills and benefits or to cast doubt on your claim of injury with L&I . go look for a lawyer.

I could not believe he actually took a phone call in the middle of seeing me. How very very unprofessional!!

Dr Kretschmer is a certified board orthopedic doctor just ask him he told us that at least 6 times during our visit. Bedside manner was less then desirable He performed an IME for Sedgewick on behalf of Boeing Was unprofessional when we discussed what our Doctor had recommended To quote him "you are getting diagnosed by a PA even though he worked in a Orthopedic office very condescending

Talked mainly about horse races and not on the problem that I went to see him for. Guess it was because it was a L&i injury and he didn't want to Make waves with Boeing since they seamingly send him patients all the time. Guess it's time to get a lawyer because two very well respected doctors one a surgeon says my problem is due to the work I do and then the person Boeing sends me to said not a work related injury. I guess you do say what the people paying you wants you to say.
