Dr. Louis Daniel Kuchnir, MD

I saw Kate Schock. She spent 2 minutes in my room with me, barely looked at me, and told me nothing was wrong. Treated me so insensitively and made me feel so unheard with issues that I was really really concerned about. I don’t want to come back.

Waste of time and money. Appointment was almost an hour late. His assistants were very nice and made lots of notes before the doctor came in about what my concerns were and what the purpose of my visit was. Unfortunately, Dr Kuchner clearly didn’t read any of them. He did a quick two minute skin check, taught me how to look in the mirror to check my own skin as if I don’t know how mirrors work and didn’t address any of the concerns I had. He was going to leave the room before checking the main moles I was concerned about. He also said the only place I can’t check myself is my scalp and that hairdressers have an obligation to let you know if they see suspicious moles on your scalp but he wasn’t sure how good they are at doing that. Then he didn’t bother to check my scalp as if it’s more the hairdresser’s job to check than his. Why should I come in to see the dermatologist when he tells me to do his job myself at home, and doesn’t bother to read any of the notes his assistants made when… they asked me the questions he should be asking??

Horrible and Incredibly insensitive. Don't waste your time or $ since all they do is rack up expensive prescriptions and then point out the obvious when they don't work.

Cannot believe I didnt write a comment sooner since I left his office years ago after seeing him twice. However, since reading others' comments i need to write mine to agree with all the negative comments about him. I was not pleased the first time but thought maybe he was having a bad day so I did go back. However, that was the last time! So arrogant and rude!!! He can't be bothered if you have any questions for him. He actually said to me, " I know you are a teacher and are used to talking to kids all day but just be quiet and listen to me." I thought I was imagining this!! I only asked one simple question. Yells at office staff! I'm so surprised he hasn't gone out of business yet! Needless to say, I found a different dermatologist who actually cares for his patients!

Dr. Kuchnir has some sort of mental health issue. I was afraid of him. He was slamming doors and yelling at his staff,all in front of a full office.Doubt anyone who witnessed this has ever returned. He needs help.

Dr. Kuchnir is an elitist, misogynistic predator. I heard from himself that he believes he has the power to do anything in the world because of his prestige and money. His white, male privilege is evident in his ignorance as he makes sexist remarks, demeaning women, and perpetuates racism, supporting racist people and their unscrupulous remarks. He denounces his patients’ intelligence, especially those that use Yelp, and is stuck in his archaic ways as he is unwilling to treat patients better.

I have gone to Dr. Kuchnir several times and each visit I wait in the room for 30 - 50 minutes and I can hear him outside just having social chit chat. I have changed to another doctor in the office and was checked in and out of the office within a half hour.

This Dr is a fruitcake!! I would question his medical degree hes just plain crazy!!

Diagnosed and removed Keratoacanthoma in office. No complications. Very thorough and competent.

Comically deplorable bedside manner. Made extremely racist remarks about Eastern doctors and suggested I needed to throw out their "fake herbal medicine" as they'll give you anything to get you out fast. How ironic. Also made sexist remarks about the fact that girls always use some "boysenberry cherry berry shampoo lotion" which is "filled with chemicals to make it smell nice, didn't you know?" instead of acknowledging that the cleaning agents in said products are just as likely to cause skin problems. Actually tried to bamboozle me into thinking detergent does not have chemicals that are possibly abrasive to the skin until he found out I've taken basic high school chemistry. Did not even let me consult with him, gave me a prescription two minutes in without hearing my concerns. Assistant attempted to rectify situation, he was ignored as well. Extremely patronizing and condescending excuse for a healthcare professional. Go elsewhere.
