Dr. Louis Anthony Luevanos, MD

My son was assigned to Dr. Luevenos as a child and we have been with him for over a decade now. I also had my two younger children assigned to him when they were born. He is very gentle and calming for infants and toddlers and has a great bedside manner. He has always listened and was attentive about my concerns and has even ordered testing for my children based on my concerns. He can be hard to book with but we have been very pleased with him at all well and sick visits through the years. His nurse Aurora is very sweet and patient as well.

I’ve had a couple of appointments with this man and each time has been an absolute nightmare. He doesn’t listen. He argues. I told him my child was allergic to amoxicillin 3 tines and what does he do: prescribes her an antibiotic in the amoxicillin family! He argued about a past antibiotic she was in and was very critical of the doctor who prescribed it. He co tradicts hinself als. The appointment left me more confused than I was before. Will not use him again. In fact, stay away fro the pediatrics department in Clairemont, all the doctors seem to run on the same guidelines. Sharp is more expensive but worth the price.

Amazing pediatric doctor. I won't take my son to anyone else. He is so gentle and caring to my son and makes the doctors visit a breeze. Highly recommend him

Dr. Luevenos has been my 3 kids' doctor since birth.....We have received the best care, advice, and education from Dr. Luevenos each appointment kids have had with him....Whenever we'd have to go in for their shots, Dr. Luevenos always distracted them from their fears by making his animal noises...LOL! My twins are 10 y.o. old now, and my youngest 7 y.o. so we don't have many visits with Dr. Luevenos, however, it's comforting to know that we have a doctor we could always count on!

I saw Dr. Luevanos for my newborn son. I saw him once b/c he only works half days and is never available. I saw a few other DR/NP in between. I brought my son in at 6 weeks b/c he was screaming and I knew he had acid reflux. Dr. Luevanos treated me like I was a crazy first time mom. He didn't listen and barely made eye contact w/ me. He sat in front of the computer and basically said babies cry, they spit up that is why they invented bibs, and to drive him around in my car. I couldn't believe it. I also center a message thru the appt center (like you are suppose to) for my son and a nurse is suppose to call you back in 2 hrs. I never got called back and had to call back the NEXT day to finally get help. I wouldn't waste my time at this office. Go somewhere else. I will be.
