Dr. Louis Mcintyre

I have a connective tissue disorder and a ton of knee injury over my lifetime from multiple dislocations. I was referred to Dr. McIntyre for a lump on my knee after a fall. Didn't seem to accept my genetic doctors diagnosis of a connective tissue disorder and was rather snippy (maybe because I was last patient of day after an hour wait...) when asking me why I came to see him. I said what is this lump? He just said "fat, It happens." (It developed after a fall). I'd already stated I didn't want surgery I just wanted to know diagnosis since MRI couldn't figure it out. When I said I didn't want knee replacement, I didn't get a chance to ask for a possible steroid injection for my chronic pain. He left the room, came back with an Rx for physical therapy and said come back if you blow your knee out again-maybe we can help. Buh bye. Really AWFUL bedside manner and lack of compassion for a genetic disorder. Orthopedic docs expect you want to be cut up. I was looking for a diagnosis for my… lump and alternative (steroid injection) for my chronic knee pain. Don't recommend this doctor unless you plan to be cut up. He clearly didn't understand my genetic disorder & that surgery doesn't help.

I had Dr Mcintyre do two Arthroscopy on my both knees. I feel his mannerism and his prestige on my knees help me a lot. I would highly recommend him as a doctor.

Steady as they come

While on active duty and after serving in the military I needed multiple surgeries on my knees, five to be exact after all one can only jump out of aircraft so many times before it catches up with you. I had one while on active duty on my left knee and one by a surgeon in the City on my right. Neither one helped, in fact it only exacerbated my problems. I went to see Dr. McIntyre, he told me what was wrong, what we needed to do, and what to expect. He scheduled me for surgery and everything went EXACTLY like he said. He cares about his patients and their recovery. I had zero post-op complications. This is the only guy to go to he is hands down the best.

I have never seen a physician as arrogant and condescending as Dr. McIntyre. He repeatedly insisted that since the chart (falsely) stated that he had given me a cortisone shot, that I had indeed received it, despite my telling him firmly, in no uncertain terms that I had unequivocally had never had one - from him or anyone else, as I certainly would have remembered that! I will never, ever see this guy again for any care, as he is probably the worst doctor I have ever encoutered in my life, and I am a super compliant patient on the rare times I need medical care. Stay away from this guy!

I broke my leg. two months after doctor Mac performed surgery my leg turned gangrene, then he tried to blame me. The administrators at WP hospital tried to explain to me that he was politically connected and that it didn't matter if I liked the job he did. that it was in my best interest to keep my mouth shut. 26 months since a rather routine orthopedic surgery and i still struggle with extreme near constant pain and can not go back to work.cause when i stand for four hours my leg swells up. the worst part was his complete lack of accountability. I havent sued and im not going to. he could have apologized. he should have.

Dr. McIntyre is the ONLY orthopedic Dr I will see. I've have shoulder surgery on both shoulders and they are better then before. He gets to the point and that is it no extra tests to waste your time, if you need surgery and he says you do then you don, he would not do ANYTHING to put you in jeopardy.

Dr. McIntyre wont waste your time running around for useless tests. Gets the diagnosis and treats. Wasted almost half a day in an emergency room and was sent home with pain medication. Called Dr. McIntyre and explained problem. He sent a prescription to pharmacy and had me right in a day.

4 of 5 in our family have had sports related injuries in the past year. Dr. McIntyre treated each of them. He saw us right away when we called. He followed up that night and the next day to see how the patient was doing. Dealing with his office is easy. His staff is professional and helpful. Without hesitation, my family recommends Dr. McIntyre.

My whole family has been to see Dr. McIntyre. They do not want to see anyone else. He has a new office with a great new staff which is much improved from the old office. Where other doctors have a PA or nurse call with results, Dr, McIntyre would always follow up himself to see how we are doing. I already recomend him to family and friends.
