Dr. Louis Thomason Payne, MD

A wonderful doctor who delivered my babies in the 1980’s. Such a sweet and caring person. I’ll always love Dr. Payne!

My experience there was a good one. The nurses was very caring and friendly. They checked up on me a lot and make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Payne was great and did a great job as well. I recommend Dr. Payne.

Dr. Payne has been my OBGYN doctor for over 40 years. He does take the time to explain any concers with my health, but his staff is one to be desisred. I have been double billed and when I enquire, their attitude is awful. I have no problem paying my bill and I have excellent insurance. Twice! Later part of 2012 and early 2013 I have been billed saying I owed from 2009 because the insure didn't pay. In 2012 I was told the doctor would not see me until I paid $40+. A small amount. OK, seem strange, but I paid. 2013 I was told my acct. will be turned over to a lawyer. It's the same amount! Poor bookkeeping!

I visited this physician a few years ago and I have never forgotten about the terrible service I received. The receptionists were very nice, as well as the nurse. I had some gynecological issues and was at my wits end. The visit started off nicely. I talked to Dr. Payne about the issues I was experiencing. I was under the impression that he would announce what he was going to do before he did it. Instead he was extremely rough! He grabbed my vagina and roughly stuffed the cold metal speculum inside of me. The only advice he gave me was to switch birth control pills! He told me to start using name brand birth control. He gave me a sample and prescription and sent me on my way. I told him that I was a college student and was on a budget. I put my clothes on and spoke to the nurse. I was visibly upset and on the verge of tears. She told me that he does that to everyone, and that he had even done it to her! I went to have my prescription filled only to find out the pills he prescribed… were $70 for a 28 day supply! He had a cold demeanor and his bedside manner was completely unacceptable!

He deserves less than a 1 star, but that is the lowest possible rating on this site!
