He serves as Senior Editor of Practical Radiation Oncology and has held editorial roles with leading journals in the field. He has also contributed to national cancer policy and quality initiatives through leadership and advisory roles with the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, the National Quality Forum, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Earlier in his career, Dr. Potters served as an Associate Professor at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where his research focused on patient outcomes, publishing the first outcome Nomogram for prostate cancer treated with radiation therapy. Dr. Potters is repeatedly recognized for excellence in patient care, including Castle Connolly Top Doctor honors and designation as a New York Times Super Doctor, and has been featured in New York Magazine. He continues to advance access to high-quality prostate cancer care across Manhattan and the greater New York region. Dr. Potters received his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School (Rutgers), following a bachelor's degree in biology from Emory University. He completed residency training in internal medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center and in radiation oncology at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn, where he served as Chief Resident. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and has completed executive education at Harvard Business School.
