Dr. Louis Rosen, MD

Started experiencing severe pain in my lower back and glute about two months ago and went to see my PCP after it didn't get better within a week. He referred me to Dr. Rosen for an injection and thorough back exam. I got an appointment with Dr. Rosen fairly quickly but it all went down the hill from there. Dr. Rosen didn't agree with the diagnosis from my PCP and refused to give me the injection. He ordered an MRI (two weeks wait time to get that). Then it took Dr. Rosen's office nearly THREE(!) weeks to call me back with results after I had the MRI. In the meantime I was in so much pain that I was unable to sleep or function at work. I spent hundreds of dollars out of pocket to seek treatment outside of Kaiser, getting some relief. Dr. Rosen's office called me back with the results of the MRI, nearly 2 months after onset of my pain, to review the results. The nurse was more interested in reporting my status back to the doctor than in how I actually felt or suggesting remedies.… She suggested I get the injection my PCP ordered in the first place if my pain was getting worse again. Worst Kaiser experience I have ever had. I do NOT recommend this doctor!

AWFUL

Dr. Rosen did a fine job accessing my problem and resolving my issues in his 15 minutes of alotted time. I blame Kaiser more than their Dr.'s for the quality of care. I cannot speak for Dr.Rosen- but all Kaiser Dr.s I've seen (few, but always different) seem annoyed to be working there and have very poor dispositions....stressed and resentful. Caring more about following Kaiser's management directive than caring an iota about the patient. Just my opinion.
