Dr. Louis J Simonetti JR., DO

My children and I were patients of Dr Simonetti for several years during which time I developed high blood pressure. I was a non smoker in my mid to late 30’s& in good physical health and in shape otherwise. He prescribed blood pressure medication but it never kept the problem under control. Other doctors & nurses (podiatrist, dermatologist, even my dentist) who checked my blood pressure warned me that I was at risk of having a stroke & needed to get to the bottom of why I had such high blood pressure and I would go back to him again and again telling him that the other medical professionals I see feel there is an underlying problem. His response was to increase my blood pressure medication and told me he thought I had white coat syndrome. Eventually I ended up in the ER with dangerously high blood pressure readings and was referred from there to Specialists, a cardiologist, endocrinologist, and a nephrologist. After extensive testing by them, it was determined that I had a tumor on my… adrenal gland that was causing the high blood pressure, which explained why the medication Dr Simonetti prescribed never actually got the blood pressure under control. I had the tumor removed and have not needed blood pressure medication again even now that I’m into my 50s. I understand that Dr Simonetti could not have diagnosed that himself, but he should have referred me to Specialists since my high blood pressure did not make sense, based on my lifestyle and my health otherwise. By the time my medical problem was properly treated, I had lived with dangerously high blood pressure for years. I had several doctors tell me with the readings they were getting that I could have had a stroke at any time. Trusting his diagnosis could have cost me my life. Dr. Simonetti is very nice and personable, but I would strongly suggest getting a second opinion if you have any type of serious medical issues.

Dr. Simonetti is the best doctor! I have moved several times and not seen him in some time, but I have not been able to find a doctor who compares. He is knowledgeable, personable, caring, and above all he has the best personality. What I remember the most about him was how much he made me laugh, and how good I felt being under his care. He is very trustworthy. I highly recommend him and know that you will love him!

I have been coming to Dr. Simonetti's office since I was a kid. He has great hours--morning and night--a convenient office, and a nice staff. He knows his business, and is quick and efficient. He gets me back on track asap. Nice guy!

I am 31, and have been going to Dr. Simonetti for approximately 20 years. He always knows what is wrong with me, regardless if it is a common cold or a rare ailment, and everything in between. He takes the time to listen and truly cares. I wish he practiced all areas of medicine.
