Dr. Louise Michelle Klebanoff, MD

I found Dr. Klebanoff to be an exceptional practitioner. She is knowledgable, compassionate and incredibly thorough, taking an extensive medical history and administering a series of motor tests to arrive at a diagnosis and treatment plan. As well, Dr. Klebanoff personally called to inform me of my X-ray results and follow-up. I felt that she was vested in my care and finding a resolution to my health issues, an attribute rarely seen amongst doctors these days. I very much appreciate her approach and feel 100% confident under her care.

Dr. Klebanoff was recommended to me when I followed up with the ER after a recent visit. Thankfully I was able to get an appointment quickly due to a cancellation and thank goodness I did because she prescribed a medication to help immediately. I was a first time patient and she took an extensive history and did a series of motor tests to arrive at a diagnosis and treatment plan. She is friendly, knowledgable, kind and very approachable. I appreciated her approach and technique and feel 100% confident under her care.

If I could leave this “Physician” ZERO stars I would. We waited for for 3 months to get my husband in to see Klebanoff at the recommendation of Brain & Spine to rule out that my husband’s excruciating head pain wasn’t solely due to his recent diagnosis of Type 1 Chiari. We arrive & she starts hammering away with her cookie cutter questions. Anytime my husband or myself would answer with more than a yes or no she would stop us mid sentence. She gave him a rudimentary exam with the reply of your neck feels great. As if she can feel what’s going on inside of his brain or his neck. Her diagnosis “Migraines” she prescribed him a slew of medications. When I asked about his 8mm Tonsil Protrusion she said it’s a “red herring” meaning “something that distracts attention from the real issue” I asked can we get a CIN MRI to check his spinal fluid she said no. I asked about his sudden vision change that required 3 different prescription changes her reply “stop wearing the glasses” I asked about… the numbness in his legs and arms her reply “ I guess I can refer you to someone for that but it’s pointless” When asked if he has urinary frequency or loss of urine he said yes her reply you can see a urologist. All of his symptoms are the symptoms from the Chiari Type 1 that was only discovered from a Snowboard accident. My husband has never been the same. We need help. Not to be prescribed a bunch of meds and to be treated like we were a bother to her. Why she is still employed his beyond me.

I came to Dr. Klebanoff for a complicated problem and found her exceedingly smart and insightful. She has a lovely manner that is both professional and thoughtful. She took time to evaluate the problem and didn't try to give easy answers. I'm happy to have found her.

Keep your distance…she gives the amazing doctors at NY Presbyterian a horrible name. She is nasty, doesn’t listen to you & makes you feel like someone who doesn’t matter. As a TBI survivor she rushed me, as I have a hard time communicating my needs. She has the degree but doesn’t understand what a TBI patient goes through on a daily basis. I left there crying. She’s a terrible person and I will not give her that opportunity to call her a “ Doctor” . Please find another person

I was experiencing terrible dizziness and knew that getting the right diagnosis was key to getting cured. Dr K took a complete history, gave me on-site tests, and referred me to (I learned later) an excellent physical therapy facility which cured my dizziness in 1 1/2 visits. She was personable and I felt SO reassured that all the odd details of this condition (BPPV, a common vertigo) made sense to her.

Would not recommend to anyone. Lacks empathy, can be rude, and will try to end your appointment as quickly as possible without you being able to ask questions.

An embarrassment to the profession. She is arrogant and unwilling to listen. She will run you through outdated tests that don’t have any relevance. She has a checklist of questions to ask and will not stray from the script. Do not waste your time. Find another doctor.

Best Doctor. Very caring and takes her time with you so u understand what is happening. Love her personality .

First time seeing this doctor and she was very rude and arrogant. Kind of quality you would not expect from a top hospital. If you can get another doctor, do so. In my humble opinion.
