Dr. Lowell Dean Katz

First, Dr. Katz' support staff is great. They're personable but professional and make it easy to get an appointment at the location of your choice. You are addressed immediately upon entering an office and are treated with care as a patient, not someone who interrupted their day. Then there's Dr. Katz; always with a smile and he makes you feel as comfortable as if you were in your own home, considering the delicate subject matter. I never thought that having to deal with a perceived-to-be embarrassing moment could end up just the opposite. I thank Dr. Katz for this - you will too.

Dr. Katz clearly explained what was going on with my husband and responded to his pain in a compassionate manner. He knew what needed to be done and did it-- a tremendouse relief for both of us after a frustrating 2 weeks of unresponsive/unreturned phonecalls from another doctor.

He was great in his office for my exam, but the minute I walked into that hospital he OWNED me. His personality became abusive, obnoxious and unconcerned. I had three major surgeries with this man because after the first one, when I tried to get another surgeon to take over, they refused due to the damage. I was stuck.

He was easy to talk to and he has a fantastic sense of humor. Preformed a major operation on me. I was in severe pain for weeks afterwards but it was due to the area he works on, very touchy place. His follow-up was great and he medicated my pain well. I would go back to him in a minute when and if needed.

Bedside manner and personality SUCK! Very condescending.Became rather obvious quickly he would rather not talk to patients at all. The day of my colonoscopy, literally said 11 words to me. Wont be a return patient
