Asks questions and cuts you off before you are able to answer. Brusque. Absolutely the least favorite doctor I have dealt with anywhere that I can recall.

The medical assistant is rude, unprofessional and lacks skills to do her job properly. The front office staff are cold and uncaring. The Dr is argumentative and condescending. He actually told me that he wasn't going to argue with me. He pays no attention to what the patient is saying. Worst experience of my life!

All good other than he forgot to sign my prescription following surgery, so instead of going home to rest as directed, I had to go back to the hospital to get the paper signed. Otherwise good.

My local Surgeon had told me there was no way he could do the colon surgery and get me put back together without have to have a bag for the rest of my life. Dr. McCafferty never doubted he could do it. I drive over 120 miles for my surgery and would recommend him to anyone who is going to have surgery on the colon. I was in surgery for over 5 hours and wouldn't consider anyone else for colon surgery.

I'm unsure how this doctor rates in surgery but his bedside manner is one of the worst I've ever encountered. He actually informed me that I couldn't have anything serious wrong with me as I had seen too many doctors within the last two years! I felt as though he thought I was a Hypochondriac despite the fact that I had a long standing problem. Positive: He was conservative in treatment.
