Dr. Luba Soskin, MD

Dr Soskin is very rude and abrasive in her exams. Avoid this practice.

She delivered my second baby. Horrible experience, she wasn't answering her phone. Called office at 6pm to tell them my water broke and contractions close together. She didn't answer or show up to hospital until after midnight and I literally had to hold my pushes baby was so ready to come out and she was no where to be found. I had a fast delivery once she showed and she left right away. I had some complications after delivery that NYU handled beautifully. However doctor Soskin or any Cityscape doctor was no where to be found. Not until next morning at 9am a doctor came in from practice to check up on me. After having a wonderful experience delivering my first born with another doctor and practice. I would never recommend Cityscape or Doc Soskin to anyone. You are just a file number to them.

Dr. Soskin is unprofessional, rude and abusive. After asking a few questions about a procedure, she began yelling and cursing that no one has any respect for doctors. In fact, I have incredible respect as my mother was a gynecologist and I understand the work they do. This woman however, should not be practicing. She is not a doctor, she is a bully. After reading other reviews here, I am not the first to have this experience with her. I am shocked by her behavior- she continued to storm out of the office cursing loudly. I'm not sure what kind of practice employs a "doctor" like this but I will not be back.

HORRIBLE DOCTOR! AVOID AT ALL COST! WOULD ELECT ZERO STARS BUT WAS NOT AN OPTION!

Very inconsiderate and didnt care about helping me. Compared my situation to herself which was completely out of line and innapropriate.

She is a terrible human being, she doesnt care for her profession of her patients. Do not expect her to call you with the results to the most important exams, in her own words, if there is nothing abnormal she will not call you (even though we had been waiting for a week for the NT screen and anmio results) I have a high risk pregnancy She has yelled at us (my husband included) and her tone is condescending, acts like our questions were dumb and unimportant... she didnt schedule my next sonogram because she's going to wait and see how my next appt goes (everywhere else they do a sonogram to high risk pregnancies) please don't choose this doctor!

I had 3 appts. with Dr Soskin and she had a different demeanor each time. It was like she had a personality disorder. Appt. 1- her check up was very fast but at least she was nice. She asked me if I had questions and did her best to answer them even though she talked super fast and seemed rushed. Appt. 2- I am pregnant and at City Scape Obgyn they make you see all the doctors at their practice in case one of them is on call during your delivery. At this appt. she was very rude and rushed again. When I told her what the previous doctor told me at my last visit at the same practice, she said look she's wrong. I know what I am doing (does this mean her colleague does not???)!! Then she tells me to stop repeating myself about my last appt and to move on. She then tells me if I have any real questions and has to go. I swear she was in the room with me for 3 minutes max. She has no patience and horrible manners. Appt. 3- even though I told the receptionist I do not want an appt. With her… ever again, she said she was the only doctor avail. at the time I requested. I decided to give Dr Jekyl Hyde another chance. This time she was even more crazy. She told me that I was 32 weeks pregnant and I said no I'm 34 weeks and that I just had an ultrasound. She types my name on the computer screen (something that should of been done before I entered the room), she then says oh whatever 32 weeks 34 weeks as long as your healthy!! She then does a "routine check up" without telling me what she is doing. She was very rough and fast in her check up and only talked when I started questioning her. Overall, this doctor has no manners, is rough, doesn't read what her colleagues previously did in your last appts., sure she tells it like it is but that's only because she thinks she knows better than her colleagues and bashes them!

Don't go to see this Doctore should have her liscense revoked.She delivered my first child and made the experience horribble was in a bad mood and mentally abused me with a unproffesional manner.

I'm pregnant and I wanted an all female staff for my comfort level. This woman is a monster. Not only was I not properly informed by the staff that I would have an exam my first visit, or blood taken, but this woman hurt me so badly that I still feel it hours later. Along with a phantom swab stabbing me in my most sensitive area....haunted. I explained to her I am narrow, and she yelled at me asking how I expected to give birth! When I asked her to go slower, she yelled saying she was going slow, while shoving instruments into me. When I screamed, she berated me and told me how I need to calm down- like it was MY problem she's a psycho in a white coat. As she shoved herself painfully to finish the exam, she demeaned me by asking, "aren't you used to this at least?" No, I was not Dr psycho, because I've never been physically abused by a gyno before!!!! This woman isn't going NEAR me again!!!!! And she's certainly not touching my baby. This was the most demeaning, demoralizing, and… humiliating experience. If she hated women this much, why is she a gyno?????

I had a procedure in the office's O.R. and Dr. LUBA SOSKIN performed the procedure. Not only did I beg for her to stop - I screamed it so loud that my fiance could hear me in the lobby. I could feel everything. Yes, I was under what they call "twilight" - but it was the worst pain I've ever felt. I went back 1 week later for my post-op appointment only to be told by Dr. Soskin that she doesn't understand why I'm so upset.... we told you that you'd be under twilight. Really???? So when I was screaming to stop - you thought it meant keep going? Dr. Luba will never touch me again!
