Dr. Lubna Pal, MD

I have been seeing dr pal for over two years. Her office is terrible when it comes to communication. It’s nearly impossible to speak with anyone. You have to call an answering service and don’t even bother leaving a message because no one will ever call you back. The only time she responded to me was when I gave her a poor review on a Yale survey that was texted to me. I paid a lot of money to do genetic testing and she left me a MyChart message with the bad results. When I asked what specifically the reasons for abnormal eggs she stopped communicating with me. I’ve been waiting over a week to have a response from her. I don’t recommend this practice at all. I wish I read all of these reviews before wasting so much money and time. Avoid this place.

I spoke to Dr. Pal twice through my whole retrieval process - once at the initial consult and once when she told me that it might be best to cancel my cycle because I wasn't responding to the meds. The nursing staff was very hit or miss (mostly miss) and give me incorrect information multiple times (including about drug interactions!) It was difficult to speak to an actual person on the phone. MyChart messages take what could be a five-minute phone call and turn it into days of back and forth and confusion. As one reviewer noted, the communication of this Dr. and her office were atrocious. Atrocious! My med dosages were upped mid cycle, but the scripts weren't updated to reflect that with the pharmacy, so I ran out of my meds before the insurance would approve of the refill I needed. The only reason I gave a second star was because at the end of the day I didn't cancel my cycle and I was able to get embryos out of the cycle after all. It was VERY stressful and I would shop around for… another doctor if at all possible.

I had a 1pm apt with Dr Pal as a new patient and her office canceled as I was waiting for her (at 1:10pm) because she refused to see me as she did not have my previous medical records. I asked to see her and talk to her anyway, as I could tell her my history in person but she refused. Her office called me at 3pm that day and told me they made a mistake and misplaced my records. They rescheduled me for 1 month later. Very unprofessional and rude behavior.

This doctor is so unprofessional, She repeatedly does not accomplish anything in her visits. she rushes my partner and i through then contacts her nurse to then reach out after the visit and give us an update. why even bother coming in if we are going to get 5 more messages with updates afterwards? the redheaded nurse seems so scattered that i can feel at ease and once she explains my cycle i am suddenly more worked up than i was expecting to be told im infertile! I came here expecting yale care, instead i came and learned i need to go to Uconn

Dr. Pal is an outstanding clinician and 'guide' through the fertility journey. She is extremely professional and knowledgeable while also wonderful at listening to her patients and allowing them the ability to feel in control of the process - she provides options (supported by data) but then steps back and lets the patient make the call where appropriate. She is also extremely responsive and caring - going above and beyond to rapidly answer questions. Her team at Yale Fertility is top-notch - organized, compassionate, and real experts at all the steps in the journey. Thanks to her, we are now pregnant with our second child.

Amazing and caring doctor and group of healthcare professionals. #1 goal is a safe and healthy pregnancy, not just making babies. A life changing experience after years of seeing other reproductive specialists.

Dr. Lubna Pal is very efficient. She does many tests to come to an accurate diagnosis. She spends enough time with the patient, and does not rush through the visit.

She refuses to answer questions about any aspect of my care- tests, medications or otherwise, and when I insist, she loses her temper and has even yelled at me. She interrupts me frequently as well. She does not communicate with my other Yale doctors when she has concerns that fall into their realm of expertise, despite having releases to do so. Make sure you read your medical files or ask for copies upon leaving, because she will tell you one thing in the office, but write something completely different down in your file. A nurse there suggested I even record my conversations with her- which is ludicrous. I'm beginning to think she's purposely making it difficult for me to get adequate treatment.

My review echoes Dianes. Dr Pal was the best doctor I ever saw. I have endometriosis that impacted my fertility. Dr Pal was the first doctor who listened, did not minimize my complaints of pain, treated my pain, was supportive when I was discouraged, and patient. She is world renowned, procedures are painless, and she is an excellent mentor to the fellows. She is very intelligent and provided an accurate diagnosis. Eleven months after treating with her for endometrial I had a successful ivf pregnancy. Thank you dr pal I highly recommend you.

I do not understand these reviews. I think Dr. Pal is great!! She took over 2 1/2 hours with me. She also ran a thorough blood panel. She made me feel like I was not going crazy and got to the root of my problems. I have been to doctors who did not care one bit. She is not like the others!!!
