Dr. Lubna Siddiki, MD

I do not recommend Dr. Siddiki. I currently am in the process of having her reported and investigated by the Texas Medical Board for alleged medical negligence. I was a patient of hers around 4-5 year ago when I was fired as a client and suddenly taken off of my medications with no instructions on titration or referrals to other providers because I sought out a second opinion for an ADHD diagnosis after she refused to assess me for it. I was over medicated and on double the FDA approved dose of a medication and I believe I may have potentially been developing serotonin syndrome as a result because I began developing violent tics that would cause my arms, legs, and back to jerk/spam several times an hour. These went away once I was no longer on medication. I was taken off of several medications on very high doses while suicidal. I am still dealing with the consequences of what happened as it triggered my first hypomanic episode (i was later diagnosed bipolar 2 and have a strong… family history of bipolar) that resulted in significant credit card debt, psychosis, picking my skin for hours while bleeding, hallucinations, and unemployment that nearly led to homelessness. It has taken years for me to stabilize after the harm caused by Dr. Siddiki’s negligence and I am thankful that I am still alive as there were many days I did not think I would be alive the next day. I hope that no one else has to go through the same experience and I hope that if they did, that they also enact their right to take steps to report to the Texas Medical Board to prevent future harm to patients.

Avoid Dr. Lubna Siddiki at all costs – she nearly pushed me to a breakdown I came to Dr. Siddiki in a relatively good place – managing my anxiety and depression with a stable medication regimen that had taken years to get right. I was hopeful she could help fine-tune things or explore new options. Instead, over several appointments, she systematically eliminated one medication after another, dismissing my concerns about withdrawal symptoms and worsening mood as "temporary adjustments." She seemed fixated on getting me off everything rather than listening to what was actually working for me. Within weeks, my symptoms spiraled out of control. The anxiety became debilitating, the depression crushing, and I came dangerously close to a full mental health crisis. I had to urgently seek care elsewhere to get back on the meds that had been keeping me stable. Her approach felt reckless and dogmatic. She barely acknowledged my history or the very real risk of destabilizing someone who was… finally functioning well. I left her care feeling worse than when I started – terrified, exhausted, and distrustful of psychiatrists. If you have anxiety or depression and value stability, do not see Dr. Siddiki. Find someone who listens and prioritizes your well-being over their own agenda. I’m only writing this to spare others the nightmare I went through.

I really hate to leave a negative review of a doctor but both this doctor and her receptionist, Jay, have let me down so many times, I've lost count and have now decided to seek help from a new service provider after a year of going to Dr. Siddiki. Upon first glance, I liked . Sidikki and her office just fine. Was I blown away? No. But, I just needed med management and she seemed capable. Scheduling an appointment: The doctor schedules patients at 10 minute intervals. For example: 1:00, 1:10, 1:20, 1:30, etc. Which in and of itself shows a lack of wanting to get to know her patients and take her time with each. At one point, I arrived for my appointment and the doctor was 3-4 patients behind due to an emergency with another patient. Friendliness of Staff: Siddiki's receptionist, Jay, will not greet you with a smile - EVER. Which I could get over but the way he speaks to me when I ask questions or push back on things like pricing, etc. is as if I'm bothering him. When I do… ask questions about insurance, prescriptions, etc. he makes absolutely no effort to explain to me why I'm being charged what I am being charged, etc. Every time I call and ask a question, he says he will look into it and then doesn't call me back. He also does not ever take notes when I call and the reason I can tell is because he doesn't follow up or remember when I have to call back. I have previously inquired a few times about the copay I was being charged when I was in the office. He consistently told me he was charging me correctly and told me if I was confused, to look at my EOB. That happened twice. The next time I had to come into the office, I called my insurance first and confirmed my copay amount which was smaller than what I was being charged. I printed all the receipts I had previously paid, my EOB, etc. and brought it with me. Jay was extremely flustered when I asked him to look into it. He then told me he would look into it while I was in my appointment and would get with me after. Which he did not. This office still owes me my money but if I'm being honest, I will not be following up on because I just finished WWIII trying to get them to help me with a prescription insurance issue (which took a week) and I'm done dealing with this office in it's entirety. Access to my doctor: Twice now, I've asked to speak directly to my doctor via phone and twice now I've been told I do not have an important enough issue for her to take the time. "The doctor only speaks with patients over the phone if it's an emergency" Honestly, that alone should be reason enough for me to quit this doctor. The idea that a doctor who is regulating my medication, who I am having a hard time getting what I need when speaking to her receptionist, and chooses not to call me back to speak with me directly is absolutely insulting. For example, I've been having an issue with my medication refill for over a week now and I am now out of meds and having side effects from that. THAT IS AN EMERGENCY and the fact that I have no other way to speak to my doctor other than showing up in her office, is neglectful and harmful to my mental health. Please note, I offered to just come into the office and be there in person and Jay told me that wouldn't help. I gave this doctor a year. I jumped through all the hoops. I made exceptions for expectations when I did not get the service I had hoped for, and I now I am reeling from side effects of being left without my medication when I called asked for help a week ago. If you see this doctor, I wish you the best but I would never ever tell another human being to waste their time here. My pharmacy cares more about helping me figure out my medication insurance issues than this doctor and her office does and my pharmacy is the only reason I was able to figure it out. Now that I have gotten a new 30 day supply to hold me over, I have scheduled an appointment at a new doctor and will not be returning to this one. It is unfortunate that I have to start over but it is what it is.

Dr. Siddiki is a very sweet lady. Very soothing and caring. Very beautiful too

Dr Siddiki is one of the most understanding doctors I have ever had, and her front off receptionist (Crystal) has to be the kindest and most helpful stuff I've ever came across! They are a perfect match and work great together. Very pleased with my appointment today, I didn't feel rushed at all and felt so comfortable. I'm excited about my next step to treatment.
