Dr. Lucas Z. Margolies, MD

He was downright rude to my mother. Was cutting her off. I wanted to cry and tell him off at the same time. He was speaking down to her. Horrific. Sent her for bloodwork and catscan. Took forever to call back with results. He had actually told us at our visit, that after the bloodwork and the CAT scan results came back that he would set up a call with me and my mother to talk about the results and the path forward. He did not do that at all. He offered zero feedback for how we should proceed.. Horrible horrible experience.

This doctor had given me an independent exam in which he had most of answers before I even got there, spent 15 min with me and knew more about me than the 10 neurologists(some from mainline health) I’ve treated with for 10 years, gave me a quick jokeable exam, measured body parts with his fingers, laughable. Lied about who he’s treated before, not credible at all!

Dr. Margolies was thorough and extremely bright. He took the time to listen to me and explained my condition to me in a way that I understood. I appreciate that he didn’t sugar-coat my treatment options. I respect his honesty and directness.

Dr. Margolies gave me an honest and definitive answer on my condition. Other doctors had tested me for this and that and thought maybe it could be this or that, all vague answers. I had one doctor tell me 'I have no idea'. Dr. Margaliese read my file, did a thorough exam, and provided a diagnosis that made sense. If you don't go in there thinking you know more than the doctor and let them do what they do best, you will have a good experience.

Obnoxious a- hole. Very insecure and has very little knowledge regarding brain injury. Missed obvious info and he is too full of himself to even listen. Avoid this Dr. at all cost!!

I normally never do these online reviews, but I have to say Dr Margolies is probably the best doctor I have ever visited, in any field, and I'm 69 so sadly I've seen them all. I was pretty surprised to see the last reviewers comment, almost have a hard time believing its actually true. My experience was totally different. Dr Margolies showed tremendous patience and concern for my problem and explained to me in layman's terms why i was experiencing nerve pain and took as much time as I needed. Most importantly Ive been feeling great ever since visiting him. Offices were nice and clean, staff was super friendly. 10 out of 10.

His bedside manner is despicable. He has a very dry, monotone voice with very little concern in his demeanor. He downplays your reasons for being there. He doesn't take the time of day to really understand why you're there. Worst doctor I've ever visited.

Met with Dr. Margolies this morning at 10AM as a 2nd opinion for my aunt. He was very thorough, pleasant and explained the process going forward. He read opinions from her other docs after doing his own evaluation and we so appreciated that. He called this evening to talk through prescriptions and objectives we're hoping to see, etc.

Dr. Margolies was very thorough during the consult I had recently. He took all my symptoms and reports, examined me, and came up with an action plan. He knew of my concerns and addressed them. I am glad my family doctor referred me.

I'm not sorry but if I could give ZERO stars I would. Most arrogant "doctor" I have ever encountered in my life and has no idea what a brain is supposed to look like. Absolute disgrace. I'm just angry with MYSELF for not telling him off when I had the chance.
