Dr. Lucia Nguyen, MD

Dr. Lucia Nguyen is dual board-certified in General Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, and Acute Care Surgery. With over ten years of experience, she specializes in robotic-assisted and minimally invasive techniques for traumatic chest and complex abdominal wall reconstruction, video-assisted thoracic surgery, biliary disease, and perforated diverticulitis. Dr. Nguyen is committed to delivering patient-centered care that respects each individual’s unique background, values, and concerns. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Nguyen is actively engaged in her community. She serves on several influential committees, including the Eastern Association of Surgical Trauma (EAST) and the Injury Control and Violence Prevention Committees. Furthermore, she contributes her expertise to the Advisory Committee of the Trauma Research and Combat Casualty Care Collaborative. Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Nguyen enjoys painting and sketching, as well as ice cream making and …sous vide cooking.
