Dr. Lucile Kathleen Posey, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Posey since I was 22 yrs. old, I am now 53 yrs. old. Although wait times can sometimes be long, I don't mind. She does not rush in and rush out; she ask questions and takes her time to explain things and is very honest. Patricia, her assistant, is friendly and attentive. Would not go anywhere else.

Dr. Posey is the best gynecologist in the lower Louisiana area, she has a sixth sense for womenâ??s medicine and has improved and even saved the lives of many of her older patients, like myself.

I made an appt with Dr. Posey on a recommendation from a friend. I was having some issues that my current MD was having no luck solving. On my first visit, Dr. Posey took my history and did some blood tests and an exam. When the results came back she was able to easily see the problem and prescribe something to correct it. She nailed it. I had been going back to my regular doctor with the same complaint for over a year, and he had not been able to figure out what Dr. Posey did in one visit. I have recommended her to my friends, and I don't mind driving a few hours for my appts because I have confidence in her. Since getting the right diagnosis and medication, my quality of life has exponentially improved. Her staff was very nice too, especially her nurse and phlebotomist.

Went to see Dr. Posey for help with my hormones. She was really understanding and helped with my hormonal issues. Great staff and it was easy getting an appointment to see her.

Dr.Posey saved my lfe. I had seen 2 other gynecologists with the same complaints and she diagnosed my fistula. The surgeon who repaired it told me she saved my life. I highly recommend her. Her staff is lovely.

After waiting for 45 minutes in the waiting room, where the receptionist's window constantly stays closed but has a sign instructing patients not to knock or tap on the glass (what if I need something?), I was finally taken back to a room after having someone without an appointment who walked in AFTER me be "squeezed in" ahead of me. I was left to wait for another 25 minutes. The doctor was unfriendly and didn't seem to care about the reason for my visit. I walked out, telling the doctor, her nurse, and the receptionist about my disappointment in the customer service and care I received, and then told them I had no desire to become a patient there. I would advise anyone to avoid this doctor at ALL costs. I thought my experience was awful until I read the other reviews on here. Now I think I'm lucky to have followed my instincts, because I clearly dodged a bullet. She should not be practicing.

I would not recommend this physician to others. She was rude, made me feel rushed and did not give the needed attention to my medical problems. I was also overcharged for simple procedures on at least 2 occasions. I would never go back!
