Dr. Lucy Douglass, MD

I am absolutely stunned by the 5 reviews I just read. My experience with Dr. Douglass has been the anthesis of their dealings with her. Very strange. Kaiser is the best.

The first time I met her, she was rude to me. She isn't concerned with her patients. She's a know it all and wants her way. I asked for a lower dosage of my birth control pill since i got really sick from my pills and she responded by saying there isn't a lower dose. She told me I should get the birth control implant since I have a record of not keeping up with the pill. She said this in the rudest way possible. It was as if she was implying that I have way too much sex. At least that's the way I took it. I kept telling her that I still want to take the pill and she responded by saying, "You're making a bad choice" and rolled her eyes. I kept my cool but she really made me upset. I decided to give her another chance and nothing has changed. She is still rude and when I suggested symptoms and what I think the problem is, she looked at me like I was stupid. She said there was nothing wrong with me. Then I asked for an xray and she seemed annoyed. I definitely don't recommend. I don't… even understand how she works here.

I too thought I was the only one treated like a child in the principal's office. She's rude, very condescending, always cancels or runs very late. I wouldn't mind waiting if I felt my medical issues were being addressed. Waste of an office visit and copay. She's not a good doctor and not a nice person. Would not recommend.

I can not believe this women was given a medical license, someone should take it away from her. She is rude, condisending,spent most of her time on her phone during my office visit. She told me I was wasting her time! She obviously doesn't like her job maybe she should think of another career because being a health care provider definitely doesn't suit her. Kaiser needs to send her on her way and fast.

I thought that I was the only one who was treated with no respect and a very bad attitude. This doctor has no respect for her patients, she was more concerned to tell my that I committed fraud, and she insisted to give me a Cortisone shot, and when I refused and asked her for pain medication she said there are none for my arthritis. Really? There are no medication for arthritis and osteoarthritis ? She talked very rude to me, like she was a God, and I was a piece of trash. This is not acceptable. Instead of being helpful she raised her voice at me. I tried to be nice with her and I treated her with respect although she had no respect for me , the patient. Instead of focusing on my swollen knee and my pain, she was more concerned from where I got the Cymbalta for my Fibromyalgia. I can not believe. I quietly thanked her and she left, like a I was a disease and she did not want to spent any more time in my presence. On top of that I had to wait for her a very long time until she showed… up. As of today, I still have a swollen knee, still in pain, taking 5 Alleve, to cope with this pain, which is not good for my stomach. I wasted my time and got no help at all. This by far, was the worst experience I had ever encounter at this facility. Looks like the doctors at Rancho Cordova Medical Offices are the lowest qualified doctors in the entire nation. Except Dr. LEE who really listened to me, after my unfortunate incident with the other doctor, who left me in the room ( previous complaint filled ) I really don't know what is going on with this facility . This is unacceptable, as of today I may have to go to the Emergency room, because of my pain and as a result of that, will cost the government more money, instead of having a doctor who will do her job.

This doctor is the rudest doctor I have ever met. She talks down to you she is always late and she makes you spend a ton of money on unnecessary tests and procedures only to refuse pain medication because she doesnt believe in it. Dr Douglass needs to go back to wherever she came from.
